That's cool and all...but my point and Bonzi's still remain. And it's not just relegated to that team ever. Never compared Cash to an autograph either so yeah.

Hell, even in the Arena they're still going to be begging for the man's(the same person they were booing for 3 hours straight BTW)autograph.

I was just sayin. You may get asked for an autograph but that doesn't mean diddly squat. When someone pays their hard earned money to watch you play ball, then that means they still support you.

Just because a guy asks for your autograph don't mean he still supports you. In fact they probably just gonna sell it or something lol.

        Re: Best/Worst fanbases?

It was more the part about fans being unimportant than the qualifying statement. No one would bat an eyelash if he'd just said "we don't really care about getting booed, because there are people who still ask for our autograph."

It seemed like he was being dismissive of all fans, not just the fickle ones.

Yeah, that's not necessarily true but I digress.

As for the second part, that's probably true. But that also depends on what it is otherwise I'd lean more towards them keeping it for themselves.

& the Bucks havent had a superstar in how long? The last big player IMO was a young Ray Allen, but we have been a so so team for 2 long. Thats why im in favor of lerting both Jennings & Ellis go. Lets tank nwxt yr & hopefully get the #1 pick.

Surprised I haven't heard OKC for best fanbase. I only read the first 2 pages but it appears the general consensus is:

Best: SA, GS, CHI, BOS, TOR
                Worst: LAL, MIA, ATL
                GT: assassinK24

the Timberwolves don't have a strong local fanbase. There is a small group of fans that are committed to the team, and very knowledgeable overall, but most of the time I think its a waste to even have a NBA team in MN.

Ahh the Jailblazers Era, Thank you Brandon Roy and LaMarcus for breaking that, but...

...Jailblazers to then "Failed Blazers" era because of the Oden screwups, then expectations in the playoffs turning into first round exits, and now we're in this era, Lillard, Batum, LA... But hey, once 2006 happened, Portland was back to where it was 6 years before in 2000, the fans actually caring.

                    IMO:

Best: Portland, Boston, Chicago, Golden State, Cavs, and San Antonio (I feel that I should have the Kings and Thunder here, but Thunder are still a young product for me to say, "great fan base" and the Kings, well, lately they weren't trying to root until the rumors.)

Worst: Lakers, Heat, Atlanta (they don't even know what they have,) I feel like the Knicks should be here, but then I realized, they were just as loud when they were losing (even though it was for the Cavs-LeBron)

It's unfair to those of us who are actual diehard fans of the Lakers, but i can see where they're coming from. I'm born and raised in LA, been a fan since i started watching basketball, and got more into it in high school, right around 1996, but some of the fair weather fans (you know, the ones cheering for Lob City now who weren't before) can get pretty bad. I imagine it's like being a Yankees fan.

Same could be said for every fanbase listed as bad ones in here. Every base has their annoying idiots and their diehards. You guys should put a hit out on your idiots or something cause they make themselves sound like a majority because they have to be the most vocal idiots in the entire league. Either them or the new Miami Heat superfans that magically appeared at the Free Agency championship rally.

I have to admit, the fair weather fans of the Lakers are some of the most annoying, which is why I resort to OS to talk basketball. But the Lakers put out a winning product year in and year out, and with success, you're going to get those fair weather fans. We have the type of fans where, Facebook, Tuesday night in a game against the Timberwolves, would be dead. But that Sunday 12:30 game against the Heat or the Bulls, Facebook is flooded with people you didn't even know watched basketball, with the "Go Lakers", "Screw LeBron" posts... but that comes with winning. For example, I only knew of one die hard Clipper fan pre-Chris Paul, I'm talking he remembers the Eric Piatkowski's of the team... The Clippers were so awful, we would buy tickets to their games to watch the other stars simply because those good seats were $300 less than the Laker tickets. Clippers are winning, and the fair weather fans arrive...
