Golden St. has a very loyal and rabid fanbase. Remember when they upset the Mavs in the playoffs and that crowd was electric. That's what I think about when I think of Warriors fans... Just haven't had anything 'that' exciting since that time. Every time Lakers go there that place is crazy, I have no problem with them being considered one of the bests cause I actually agree.

Name me one other city that would chant MVP for Joel Anthony. Then you can show me a fanbase better than Miami fans.Comment

That goes for any team who is on the verge of a big upset like knocking off the #1 seed. I remember Denver fans were nuts and going crazy when Seattle was there in game 4.
The playoffs aren't the best way to determine who has the best fanbase cause fans bring their A game during that time in almost all NBA arenas..Comment

Watch a game in any city with deep basketball roots, you'll hear them chant the player's name or nickname in that situation, if they don't have some even more elaborate/obscure player-specific routine."The power of accurate observation is often called cynicism, by those who don't have it." - George Bernard ShawComment

Best:
Boston
Chicago
Portland
Golden State
Worst:
Miami
Indiana
Phoenix
Milwaukee
I think the LA fan-base as a whole (not singling anyone out here) is vastly overrated in terms of being passionate about their basketball.

Re: Best/Worst fanbases?
Best fanbase: Knicks. Sure they can be delusional, but they are always there good or bad.
Worst fanbase: Lakers. The minute the team is questionable people hit the panic button or become Clippers fans. lolYou looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: Best/Worst fanbases?
Lakers fans are the most....fanatical. That's both a good and bad thing. They are die hard loyal and will bleed purple and gold, but will tweet death threats to Steve Blake for missing a game winning shot. And even Bulls fans will entertain the fact that MJ...might have....pushed off and....it's possible...he worked the refs to his advantage, but Lakers fans legitimately believe Kobe Bryant deserves every single call in his favor. Seriously...Lakers fans need counseling.
Celtics fans are die hard as well, but I wouldn't call them fanatics. They tend to be more grounded. But they are obviously biased. They believe Rondo is the best NBA PG since....well...Bob Cousy.
Bulls fans (including myself) are conflicted. We love most of our players and team, and their blue collar work ethic. Michael Jordan etched the Bulls into NBA's historical significance. Meanwhile, we hate Jerry Reinsdorf and his blatant cheapness and we know ultimately that will end up ruining everything. Also, if a player came along that could score like durant, was clutch like Kobe, had court vision like CP3, post game of Al Jefferson, and defense & athleticism of Lebron, the passing of Rondo --- he'd still wouldn't be better than Mike
Bucks - I've been to a few Bulls games at Bradley center, and it's left me with an impression that Bucks fans are non existent. Whenever the Bulls play there, there's always way more Red/Black than Green/Silver. I know a few games is not a good barometer, but letting a city 2-3 hours away run you out of your own stadium doesn't speak best fans in the world.
Indy - Much better than Bucks fans. Also respectable blue collar folk, but during the Reggie Miller era, you all got a little out of hand and thought you all were much higher on the totem pole.
Just from watching on TV, I say OKC fans are pretty incredible. Maybe it's because of the novelty of having a relatively new team, but even before OKC was #1 seed in the west, they were pretty hype.Comment

As for the Bucks bulls thing, it's tough. The Bucks fans down the have the little brother syndrome... But that area is still rife with Chicago sports fans in general. Cubs/Bears/Bulls fans. Everyone I know that lives down there (aside from my family) is a Chicago fan for all sports.
You'll find more Bucks fans further away from Milwaukee than you will in Milwaukee, which also means they are less likely to travel a couple hours to watch games, especially to support such a mediocre product for the most part. It's the same thing as Southern Wisconsin having a fairly equal Bears/Packers fan split. The geographical proximity between Chi and the WI border makes it easy for fans that don't have a sports team to pick whichever they want.badComment
