Didn't see the game either, just read the recap and box score. If that's what happened, then I'm really

well, i didnt see the game but my friend told me that the Nuggets got robbed at the end with a 24 second violation call, while really they had 2 points on a Melo putback..

Re: Did Kobe finally say he is leaving the lakers????

This is the way I saw it:

Andre Miller is dribbling the ball and shot-clock is winding down. He shot the ball before the violation but then DID NOT HIT RIM as the clock expired. The shot had no chance of hitting the rim, but while it was in air Kobe touched it. But this happened when the ball was falling short of the rim, and a goaltending is when a player touches the ball on the way down IF IT HAS A CHANCE AT HITTING RIM. As the clock expired, Carmelo caught the airball and had possesion. So there were a couple of things going on here. ONe ref called a shot-clock violation, another ref called goal-tending, the fans wanted the Nuggets ball because of rebound. The refs discussed it, said it was a inadvertent whistle, and there was a jump ball at half court. Lakers won the jump, Rush sank the shot, Lakers won. Neither team was happy at the call. I personally thought it was a shot-clock violation. I'm trying to write this in an unbiased way, but then again there is a certain player in my avatar that would cancel this post out.

/\/\/\/\/\/\ So true... Here, got this off another forum..

"This is a game to be remembered in a sense that the refs helped the Lakers out. With 2 seconds remaining on the shot clock Nene fires one up and before the time runs out the ball hits the rim, and Carmello grabs a rebound with a clear lane to dunk the ball and give the Nuggets a 4 point lead. What happens next must be the biggest robbery ever, the refs call it a shot clock violation, and then after a while of debating they make it into a jump-ball, which of coure is won by the Lakers (Thank's to shaq). Then with the time running down Kareem Rush hits a three pointer that ensures the win for LA. Jeff Belzadiek was furious and charged at the refs. "

"In my oppinion this has to be rediculous, the footage clearly showed that there was no 24 sec. violation, thus the Lakers don't deserve this win. This just scares me if stuff like this is going to happen in the Playoffs, because sometimes the NBA seems to me like the WWE, wher everything is scripted and only superstars can win. This really pisses me off though because the Nuggets worked so hard from last year and and they won that game against the Lakers in my mind..... but the scoreboard says different. "
