I don't believe in any ref conspiracy crap. I think refs make mistakes in all games but the ones in Laker games are especially magnified because they are THE Lakers. A lot of people say Lakers get all the calls, but no one talks about how they don't get calls. I think if you put this two together they even out.
Also about the superstar calls, if you think about it, these stars don't get all the calls. They get calls, but they have to live with a lot of non-calls. I'm not taklin about only Shaq/Kobe, but also Iverson, T-mac, Carter, etc.Comment

Re: Did Kobe finally say he is leaving the lakers????
I thought when instant-replay was introduced, refs should review questionable calls when there's less than a minute left and if the call could affect the outcome of the game. How come they didn't just check it out?
That's why you have the damn thing in the first place.Comment

Yes and no.
Yes they are favoured...but I don't think it's a conspiracy.
It's just that referess tend to favour the bigger teams / teams expected to win.
I watch sport the world over...and the same thing happens in all leagues of all sports.
You watch Manchester United or Real Madrid play at home and they tend to get 60% of decisions go their way.
Basketball tends to really highlight the bias though, as it's such a heavily officiated sport.
Realistically, the refs could call something on most plays. So, when they call something on A. Player...and then don't call the exact same thing when S. O'Neal does it, it looks bad.
Especially as I hate Shaq.....
Unfortunately, to beat LA is a bit like beating Real Madrid...you have to really dominate. No "we outplayed them 51 / 49 % stuff".
It's got to be comprehensive...and that means dismantling them like the Spurs did last year.
IMO the only team that should get any 'beneficial' decisions are the defending champs in any sport.
Like in boxing, you have to clearly win to get the belt.
It should be that way in the NBA....and the Spurs deserve that 'luck', not LA simply as their 'bigger'.Comment
