Take Kobe off the team and see how the Lakers do.

Take Jermaine off the team and see how the Pacers do.

I can ever find myself disagreeing with you D4K. Honestly. You are one of the few real fans of the Lakers. I can truly respect guys like you and Shakobe among some. I liked the Lakers team up until they traded NVE, and Eddie Jones. Once Shaq's attitude changed and the team got too cocky, there wan't much for me myself to like about them. Shaq used to be a fun guy, always playing and acting like a big kid, having everybody laughing. Now he is like a big sourpuss. I agree with you here too on this subject by the way, but Fox shouldn't have much to say, especially after Mr. Whipped busted his chops on tv, then smacked him up in the tunnel. He needed Shaq to save him. He couldn't have been beat up by a worse person.

Yeah the day of the NVE and Eddie trade was a very, very depressing day for me as well. Eddie was my favorite player back then but I don't see him much anymore. I guess it was really necessary to get the cap for the three championships. And yeah Fox shouldn't have said anything because he isn't a Kobe Bryant or Shaquille O'Neal (then again they shouldn't have said much either). I think that the only reason Fox gets away with saying that is because in the past he was the third consistent guy and he did shut down Pega in one of those series. Other than that I don't know why he would think he has enough power to say something like that.

Ya, I was really sad when those two guys left also. Man, that could have been a really great team. If Phil had Nick at the poing, Eddie at the 2, Kobe at the 3, whoever at 4, and Shaq in the middle, man, that would have been sick. Oh well.

I also agree that Shaq, and the Lakers attitude changed after they won some rings. Especially after ring number 2, when they went 15-1 in the playoffs. They just got way too cocky and sure of themselves. Even now, when they lose, they're still like that. Nothing seems to humble them. Well, nothing except getting eliminated from the playoffs. Oh well, Laker for life.

In any case, I think a lot of the players in the NBA talk too much and don't play enough. If they put as much effort into their games as they do into their responses to the media, then everyone would be a much better player. But I guess that's part of the drama of the NBA.

I can ever find myself disagreeing with you D4K. Honestly. You are one of the few real fans of the Lakers. I liked them until they traded NVE, and Eddie Jones. Once Shaq's attitude changed and the team got too cocky, I was done. I agree with you here too, but Fox shouldn't have much to say, especially after Mr. Whipped busted his chops on tv, then smacked him up in the tunnel. He needed Shaq to save him.

                      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">
