Just because their numbers are similar doesn't mean 'Melo will be like Big Dog. Unless 'Melo starts to develop a beer-belly, I'll continue to believe 'Melo can be much better than the Big Dog.

I'm just pointing out the similarities in their game and subsequent numbers. I think a lot of the people don't remember the Purdue years (91-93) and Glenn's Rookie year (93-94). He was hyped. He was the next big thing. He was not what he is today.

Remember that the NBA is full of those types that burn bright for a short window than fade out. That's the beauty of the NBA. Superstars can become duds. And undrafted after-thoughts can become All-Stars. You never know. My only point is that people want to "poo-poo" the comparison to the Big Dog, but it's a legit comparison. I hope I'm wrong.
