Wondering who's next, thinking Dunleavy is a prime candidate. Clearing Kirk would be a nice break financially.

Bulls are going to have to start taking players on, though lol

The Bulls wavied him.... lol... This gets even better. If the heat sign him I'll lose my ****. I wonder if the Lakers would take him back.

The Bulls aren't competing for anything this year with Rose out and it had become clear that they weren't going to re-sign Deng. They might have been able to get a better deal had they went closer to the deadline, but they also run the risk of not finding a trade partner at all. Also, their is value in making the trade now than in a few weeks. This gives them a shot at the lottery and a chance for more minutes for the young guys.

After this trade, followed by the amnesty of Boozer in the off-season, the Bulls 2014-2015 roster:

                Derrick Rose $19
                Joakim Noah $13
                Taj Gibson $8
                Mike Dunleavy $3
                Jimmy Butler $2
                Tony Snell $1.5
                Marquis Teague $1

                Bulls: $47.5
                Cap: $59

Two of the biggest 2014 potential Free-Agents were born in Chicago...Dwyane Wade and Evan Turner. Not sure that either will leave their current club, but an interesting storyline to follow. Of coarse, I could see the Bulls go after Melo and others, depending on who makes themselves available this off-season.
How do you sign Melo when you have less than 12 million dollars in cap space?

Well in Miami's case, they're in a position where any FA they bring in is at worst a no lose situation for them.

But even with that luxury I still don't see why they would bring in another unreliable big man with awful knees, even if you give them limited minutes. If I'm Miami, I would waste my time with Bynum and his foolishness.

Don't think it really matters. I think he's on his way out at the end of the year anyways.

Rose also is not happy. I can't imagine much of the team is happy. They're a proud bunch.

They would have to make another deal. Taj Gibson trade?

Where does Mirotic fit into this? Should they trade Gibson, sign Mirotic for half of Gibsons contract (4 million or so), and hope Anthony settles for the remaining 16 million of cap space? But then they still have to sign their 2014 lottery pick. If they want a shot at Anthony they would have to find a trade for Dunleavy, Teague, Snell etc
