Agreed. Brand had ridiculously soft hands and was just a machine. He stood out on a very talented Dook team. I think Randle is a lot more athletic than Zbo but doesn't have his feathery touch around the rim. I like Randle though. I can see him being a much better Pro since teams won't stack the paint vs him like they do now.

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I don't agree with the Brand comparisons. I wasn't old enough to remember Antonio McDyess in college; so how do others think Randle compares to him or even a Larry Johnson?"Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Tyler Ennis just declared. I think he's going to be a bust in the NBA, especially if he's taken with a lottery pick. He is awful defensively and was "hidden" in the zone at Syracuse. That isn't going to happen in the NBA.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Draft Class
He's a smart player though, I think he could make a pretty solid back up guard for someone.. I probably wouldn't take him in the lottery.. But for a team like Phoenix who may come close to being a lottery team he would be a pretty good fit. Two way sub for Dragic or Bledsoe.Comment

Yeah, I don't see Ennis being more than a back up but who knows. Maybe he'll turn into something a few years in."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Ennis... yeah, I just don't see him being a productive starter in the NBA. Could carve out a niche as a backup. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if he ended up in Europe within a 3 or 4 years.NFL: Bills

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Andrew Harrison finally playing more like a point guard & I think he's going to be gone this year. I'd rather have him than Ennis in the NBA. He's not great defensively either, but I think he'll continue to improve there.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: 2014 Draft Class
Do you think either of the Harrison twins have the ability to become solid starters on a playoff team (whether that be at PG or SG)?Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I'd probably rather take a chance on Harrison developing too, but I think I read that neither of the Harrisons are likely to be taken in the 1st round this year. Amazing how far they dropped in one year.NFL: Bills

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I'll stick to what I said before and say that I think the Harrison twins both look like the type of players who could end up better pros than they were college players.
But I strongly feel Andrew should be drafted as a shooting guard. I just don't feel he's a NBA point guard, and those quicker players will give him problems at both ends.Comment

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I was really really impressed by Andrew last night. I thought he handled the pressure extremely well and was great at picking his spots. If he improves that jumper (which he should because his form is sound) he could be a very solid combo guard in the league. A guy who can give you coverage at both spots.
Absolutely love Randle's motor. He showed me some pretty good passing ability too last night.

Re: 2014 Draft Class
I change my mind often on Randle. He's so raw. His motor and knack for getting rebounds impresses me. His fundamentals worry me. Every time he drives I cringe, and last night he was fumbling the ball like crazy. He doesn't have a back to the bucket game that I've seen nor a jump shot. He lacks refinement.
I feel like he can have a similar impact of Andre Drummond just by his physical tools alone and instincts to rebound.Comment

Exactly, and even when he does score I'd say a good chunk, 60%-70% of his buckets come off him following up a shot he already missed.. Even when he gets close he just lacks the touch to finish first time around.
And for lots of the tournament he's been somewhat of a "trash man" in their offense, scoring lots of his points after grabbing an offensive rebound.
But he's the most physically ready player for the league in this draft. I could justify him going anywhere from 1st to 7th or 8th depending on what the team needs are coming into the draft.Comment
