I think it seems pretty obvious he'll end up being a PF after he develops some in the league.

He is going to need to in the NBA.

I'd take a chance on him late in the draft just because of his athleticism and ability to find the ball off the glass, but his overall offensive game needs some serious work if he wants to make any real impact at the next level.

He looks like a young Reggie Evans to me. Take that for what it's worth...

I think Young could be a poor mans Ben Wallace. Not as limited on offensive, but not the defensive anchor or rebounder as Wallace.

That's what I'm concerned about. About every starting PF in the league has a decent midrange or post game and he doesn't really have either. He looks like he could be a starter but his game isn't there yet. I'd also just draft him based off potential. The least you're going to get is a super-athletic high-energy big man.

So not Ben Wallace at all lol.

Young is gonna have to develop a consistent mid range Jumper to stick in the league.

In terms of using muscle and athletism to be effective as a hustle/trash basket type player. Young isn't a complete liability on offense, but he's not likely to be count on for offense. And it's hard to project he'll be the defense stall worth that Wallace was the majority of his career.

Of course I'm assuming you were more or less just giving me a hard time.

Yeah. But comparing him to Ben Wallace is an overstatement, and then you negated it by saying he's not the defensive anchor or rebounder that Wallace was which basically makes him like any undersized PF that couldn't make it in the NBA. The only real comparison between the two is their size/stature, hustle, and propensity for defense. But Ben Wallace was always an instinctive shot blocker and rebounder, Young doesn't really have any skills that set him apart.

He's more in the Brandon Bass/Jason Maxiell type.
