That was a nice last play but I would've liked to see something going towards the basket being down just 1. And how did Bosh airball? Really tho?

Less than 2 seconds to shoot so hes rushing, he caught the ball while moving and you got 7ft Hibbert closing out pretty fast.

That and David West's three was a travel. But again, bad officiating all night sound like.

You sure about that, or are you saying that because the announcers said that. I didn't see a travel, he was allowed to pull that foot back

Take aways from this game:

1. These teams are incredibly closely matched.
2. Lance Stephenson is an idiot
3. Wade is a troll.
4. Basketball gods don't like trolls.
5. We may never see Greg Oden on the court again.

It was like less than 2 seconds left you don't really have time to kick the ball around 2 times.

I also don't like how the refs took that 3 from Miami

I don't get it...calling it "verticality" doesn't not make it a foul...

I agree with the intent of the verticality rule, I just don't know if it gets applied right. In the play I'm thinking of Hibbert didn't get his hands all the way up and he may have been under the basket. So I was surprised they didn't call a foul. I'm not sure how it's supposed to be officiated because I've never considered myself a good ref haha. I will say that I think either the rule gets applied to Hibbert correctly but not others OR Hibbert is allowed leniency on the verticality rule.

On the topic of Hibbert rebound numbers: I wonder if it's the product of playing with a bunch of size on the perimeter and other guys that can rebound. It might be a result of their defensive style and Hibbert may just do a good job of putting others in a good position to rebound. Stephenson and Turner are very good rebounders for their position and George Hill is big for a point guard. Like someone else said, I don't think Indiana is a bad rebounding team.

1. I feel they are closely matched if Paul George is Paul George from the start of this season rather than how he's been lately.. LeBron, Wade, and Bosh won't all start off as horribly as they did tonight, maybe one of them, or two of them, but not all three of them in a playoff series... I also believe Lewis will be benched in favor of Battier come playoff time, and they'll have Ray.

5. They should definitely play Oden as much as he can handle without hurting them.. He didn't do an absolute horrible job on Roy, Roy hit some pretty good shots away from the rim, give him that credit... He defended him much better than Bosh has the past two seasons.

If I were the Heat, I'd just accept the 2nd seed in the east, make sure the big 3 are rested for playoffs and go from there. About 2-3 weeks left in season I believe, wonder if Heat will give the big 3 some extra rest anytime soon.

Indy is a great rebounding team.. And their style causes Roy to get less rebounds than what would show on a box score.. Still for someone 7'2 he's average at best. Probably below average individually.
