I liked how they mixed the zone in last game. That seemed to work in spurts. I wonder what LB will throw at them tonight. Is anyone going to the game??

Stephen A. Smith mentioned on PTI (or something) that LB prides himself on making adjustments, and he's interested to see if LB throws a wrinkle at NJ tonight.

I'm not going, I'm gonna try and go to an ECF game (if we win tonight, of course)...though Injun's the man when it comes to getting tickets, he must know some important people

Injun is going. He PM'd me and had a ticket lined up for me, but my PC at home is down so I never go back to him.

Ive been thinking since Rasheed came here that they should play some 2-3 zone and I was glad to see them do it. If they can be effective playing 2-3, they can have Ben, Rasheed and Memo all on the floor at once. Im not sure NJ has any way to counter that.

I don't think they have the shooters to handle that...Kidd's hurting, I think RJ would be their only main option, he'd have to light it up in that case. Pistons just have to slow it down so they can give the zone a chance

I don't think the Pistons could get away with using the 2-3 too long with Okur and the Wallaces. It's good to use sparingly to keep the Nets off-balance for a little while, but not for much else. The Nets will eventually make adjustments to beating that zone, like they already have for handling the half-court and three-quarters court traps earlier in the series. One thing I can see the Nets doing to counter the 2-3 is looking to find more shots for Kerry Kittles near/behind the arc, as he is their best spot-up shooter. Richard Jefferson, Rodney Rogers and Brian Scalabrine could also do damage from the perimeter if all the Nets are able to swing the ball around the court and find all the seams to get open looks for them.

I dont think they should run zone exclusively, but when the Nets dont have a shooter on the floor (like when RJ and Kittles sit) then I think its good to mix it in quite a bit.
