Re: 4/8 - 4/16 Games Discussion Thread
But they still need to get that 7th seed and play OKC because they want no parts of San Antonio who have steamed rolled them all year.
vs OKC they just seem to matchup better and play better mainly because their perimeter weapons Dirk, VC, Calderon and Ellis have all taken advantage of OKC's suspect defense on the 3-pt line.
Plus B.Wright is more effective vs their front line as opposed to the Spurs.
Now I'm not predicting a upset but I think Dallas can give them fits in a 7 game series and push that thing close to the distance.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

Surprised nobody has created a team thread for them in the last few seasons especially with all these Heat Fans/Followers on here. Same with the Bulls.#RespectTheCultureComment

Spo's recent quote about Bosh all but confirms a large chunk of it is on Spo. It's a conscious decision. ATM, it's hard to critique too much since they are coming off two chips, but I have a feeling that "pass" won't last too much longer...
Don't get me wrong...Bosh's effort on the boards and defensively can be questioned....but I imagine it'd help a great deal if he was actually involved in the offense...
Hate to see his talent get wasted like that. Let's not forget how good he was in 2011 when he got some sets...he'd actually give Joakim fits at times...now he's pretty much his *****

So ESPN did swap out games for Wednesday's final day of the regular season. It will now be the double header of Dallas vs Memphis at 8 pm est, followed up by Los Angeles Clippers vs Portland at 10:30 pm est. Just saw the commercial a few moments agoComment

Dude has the worst luck. First, he gets traded just as the pacers are becoming a good team. Then, he gets injured and traded as the Warriors take off. Now he's on an awful team(no offense) and struggling to get any pt.
I thought he would have a good opportunity with the jazz, it's a shame it hasn't worked out. He has a good amount of talent too. Athletic, good shooter and defender. Hopefully some team will give him a chance next year.

At the end of the day Spo is a decent coach. We can run through every single coach in the league and nitpick him to death (which happens pretty much already). A lot of you seem to choose the top teams and armchair coach, which is totally fine. It's a message board I get that.

Your absolutely correct, this is sports...we, including you, 'armchair' everything...it's the nature of being fans...
Spo sold me a couple seasons ago, so no need to take my post as me bashing him or nitpicking....I think he's more than a decent coach...and if him and the Heat win this June, I will STILL think they don't utilize Bosh in the most effective way...Comment

Someone else calls Spo a lucky chump.
I didn't mean to say you were nitpicking tbh, so I apologize for making it seem that way.
I do however believe the criticism of coaching gets out of hand. My point about nitpicking was to say that every coach probably has his issues. Coaches get so much blame around here when the fact is there's 30 teams, you're not going to have that many elite coaches.
If you think Bosh isn't being utilized correctly it's not nitpicking.
Btw, there's a difference between what we give our opinions on. Armchair coaching is different than giving our opinions on other things. They are NBA coaches and we are typing on a message board for a reason. Again, I understand the nature of the internet and giving our .02. There is a distinction though. I won't sit here and question every little thing about why Coach isn't doing this or that or the other. So when folks give their opinions on what coaches should have done naturally I'll have my opinions on their opinions.Comment

I remember reading when Oden first started some games in MIA Bosh was the happiest about the whole thing because that was less time he had to play C.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: 4/8 - 4/16 Games Discussion Thread
I know positions are becoming outdated but Bosh is the prototypical PF in this league. Playing the 5 requires him to play out of position and away from his strengths IMO. This is why I think he's not producing like you would expect giving his talent and what he's shown at TOR.
I remember reading when Oden first started some games in MIA Bosh was the happiest about the whole thing because that was less time he had to play C.
On another note, there's no use in even referencing Bosh in Toronto because we all know he isn't that player anymore. Add to the fact that Bosh has had to greatly reduce his role since coming to Miami and you should just forget that Bosh in Toronto ever existed.
I honestly don't think Bosh wants to be that type of player on a consistent basis anyway. He'd much rather float and face up. Like I said in my previous post though, he will show flashes of the player we expect him to be but probably won't sustain it consistently.Comment

Lol if you're lucky.
I hope it is though. I won't even ask for a win from Indy since I know OKC is a tough matchup. But can we at least play some quality basketball for 48 minutes? Would like to see Roy Hibbert show up too.Indianapolis Colts

Bosh might not be that type of player any more. In the playoffs he might show flashes, but ultimately he might not be the type of player you all want him to be. You take one quote and run with it. He might not be that big man we expect him to be on a consistent basis.

Good God man
Calling spo a lucky chump was a sarcasm post using the words of another poster directly above that post. I promise sometimes context seems to be lacking when people see some thing in haste to defend stuff all the time
I didn't bother to respond to you because just as easily as you missed that posters post I easily ignored your willful misinterpretation.
I don't really care how good or bad people think the guy is but it helps to read a few words more before jumping into to others comments.
That's all I have to say about it.

You have to understand though.....the reason there is a quote in the firstplace is because a question was asked.....similar to what were asking. JVG was wonderig the same thing during a live broadcast...so its not something that has been pulled out of thin air.....people much closer to the game and team wonder the same thing, You may be right that he cant be that player any more....guess well find out either way eventually....but I think its a valid question..
As far as armchairing.....criticizing a players game and decisions, questioning a GMs moves, questioning the commishioners decsions....thats all armchairing. Just like you said...they are in their position and we are in ours for a reason as well....I think we all know this when sharing opinions.....nothing new....
