Via Dan Gilbert himself, Kyrie Irving has agreed to sign the max extension, so Cleveland gets to keep their guy at least. Hopefully he lives up to it.

Edit: OSU beat me to it.

The clippers could definitely use his offense during crunch time.

May I ask why? It seems like a lot of people are skeptical of him. The only reasons I can think of, are his size or the fact that no one watched Sac last year. He is very talented.

Is this contract for Kyrie correct? I've been hearing 5yr/90mil. That's crazy.

Andray Blatche has been telling people around the league that he may end up with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to sources.
Another big off the bench if true I suppose. Has to be an upcoming trade in the works to dump some salary

Don't think Kyrie is worth the max but then again I think there are only 5-6 guys in the NBA worth that. I understand them giving it to him though.

Yeah, that's one of those situations where their hand got forced (or would have been forced.)

I agree, but good for Kyrie though.

I don't think it's a bad deal considering Kyrie is a fantastic player (or he can be) but when guys like Iso Joe get the max, maybe Klay Thompson I continually think GM's are stupid. These are the same people that give a bunch of people ridiculious deals every year then the owner cry when the CBA is up they aren't making money (that's a different topic though...).

Size and the fact that's he's more of a shooting guard in a college PG's body. He's fine offensively if you can put him with a SG that distributed or a point forward, but he's not a great distributor and he's a liability defensively.

With Kyrie getting the max, how good does Stephen Curry's 4 year $44 mil contract look right now?

Which is why I think a pairing with Smart might actually work. With smart being a playmaking SG, like Harden, Monta, Lance.

This only makes sense obviously if Boston decides it's time to officially "rebuild", in which having Rondo isn't a necessity.

Is there any chance NOR would amnesty Gordon? Try to sign someone like Parsons so Reke can spend full time at SG as he requested?
