The only reason I suggested it a couple pages back is he has a nice mid range jumper. I think it would compliment Big Al fairly well.. I think Zeller would be better suited as a sub because he could check in at either position.. Unless Vonleh shows he isn't ready to be a starter, then obviously you don't start him lol.

I know man I don't quite understand it. While they could be talking to someone, I feel like they aren't.
Again though, I don't really know what you want to happen. They flew to LA to talk to Gasol, they're meeting with Deng to get that going, they're working the phones. If guys don't want to come here, they don't want to come here. It's not a lack of trying, it's just guys are choosing other places to go. I guess Pax and Gar can start hiring dudes to hold families hostage or something and force signatures.

That's because they're waiting to see who comes or doesn't come here. If they get shut out, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they keep Boozer for his last year. Reinsdorf is a cheap bastard like that. He REALLY doesn't want to pay this dude $17 million just to sit at home.

How long can the "we tried" excuse fly in this city though?

Start rebuilding if you have to

Man, Boozer is a net negative. Its best to cut ties.

I really like this signing actually.

It's funny, everyone thinks of all the "names" they can to make team A look like a championship contender on paper... even though it NEVER works that way, lol. Of course there's nothing else for US to talk about in a thread like this, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't think logically about things.

The truth is a lot of guys become names after signing with teams that put them in a situation to succeed. It should be more about Miami needing a rebounder, spot up shooter, energy guy off the bench, etc... instead of players X, Y, and Z. Because players that already have names cost money while the unknowns that have solid roles come cheaper until they prove they are worth more.

We always talk about teams like the Spurs, well Duncan is the only "name" before coming into the Spurs. Literally every single player besides TD became a star growing on the team. And the "win now" concept meaning you have to sign known players doesn't hold weight as a counter argument bc the Spurs "won now" on the back of Leonard who fits the mold of what I'm talking about. And when people say things like MJ had Pippen and Grant, and later Kukoc and Rodman... only one of those 4 players wasn't a draft pick coming into the situation. Maybe we can say Kukoc was known but I think the point still stands.

Getting back on track, Granger is a good guy to give a shot in a situation like this, rather than being the main option. Last year is disheartening but I don't think should be career defining. McBob is another good young guy that can grow in the situation. I love watching the Heat lose, but Riley's doing a good job with the role players so far.

Broussard is becoming pure comedy now. This dude just purged Marc Spears now with the Aaron Gray to the Pistons tweet.

I wonder if Yahoo will contact ESPN about this situation.

So you're just gonna roll with this nonsense like you're part of the national media too? You know Boozer is gone man.

Honestly it's not an excuse. But as I said not too long ago, I'm starting to get to the point where we just say **** it and blow everything up because there's no way to win in this league with the way it's been. The bottom line at the end of the day however, has been that the best player on the team hasn't played in two years. There isn't a team in the league that is winning a championship with their best player not playing for two full seasons and that's the biggest obstacle in the way. He's making 18 million this year, 20+ the next two years. Nobody is going to trade for him right now so you have to live with him.

National media has nothing to do with it. Give me more credit than that.

We both know how Reinsdorf operates. I'll believe Boozer's gone when it becomes 100% official.

You're rolling with Nick Freidell and Joe Cowley??

That's too bad man. theyre gonna keep running Noah into the floor every year and getting bounced with moral victory counts like they had guts, they played hard... that all means nothing in the scheme of things really.

I do think however ownership has created an atmosphere of excuses. Boozer should've been gone

Pretty sure I said blow it up last year before the most loaded draft in a decade, and everyone laughed at me lol

And yet, here we are, with virtually no cap space and yet another big name FA set to pass us by.

Yes we do. Paying scrubs like Ben Wallace 14 million dollars a year, taking care of Jay Williams after he voided his contract on a motorcycle when a lot of owners would have hit him with the deuces.

If you want to make the argument that Jerry spends his money stupidly at times, pull up a chair and we'll share stories and laugh and talk all night. However this cheap narrative that people like Bill Simmons likes to push is wrong and stupid.

Is it a big name FA that the Bulls have really NEEDED though?

Idk I guess that's one of the consequences of being a team that's very good but not winning a championship. Because a team like the Bulls(There are a few teams just like them but I'll use them as an example since they're already being discussed)are probably more closer to winning it all than they are starting all over and waiting another 3-4 years.

You can play the hypotheticals about Rose, but even when he was healthy, we needed another go to scorer. So I guess you can consider that a "Big Name FA" because most good scorers don't come cheap.
