Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
McRoberts at least rebounds, it's a large upgrade from starting Battier/Lewis IMO.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I really don't see theses trades giving the big three that energy boost they seem to be needing (at least that's what i got from readng that Bosh interview somebody posted a few pages back). Wade missed a ton of games and didn't have that extra gear in the playoffs this year and Allen will be another year older.
I thought their defense took a huge hit last season and in the playoffs. They need fresh and youth.Comment

Once you get to that point(ECF)it's really all about limiting the mistakes and capitalizing on your opportunities. An even bigger priority in the final 2 rounds than it is in the 1st 2 rounds.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
The Bulls are in a similar situation. Management can't keep relying on the rest of the guys to heart and hustle their way to a championship.
IMO to get rid of Boozer shouldn't even be a consideration but they haven't decided yet.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Sucks for y'all to lose McBob especially with his passing ability, but Charlotte has good depth up front with Zeller, Jefferson, Vonleh, Biyombo and possibly D.J. White if they retain him.
No need to have brought McRoberts back if his presence would (likely) stunt the growth of Vonleh and Zeller.
I like this signing and Granger (who essentially replaces Battier) coming over as well. They still need to find a 4th scorer and help inside for Bosh. A lot of chatter - on other forums - going on that this signing may lead to Bosh not returning. I'm not so sure, but Miami needs to find some younger wing depth, bring back Andersen if possible and another cheap starting caliber center.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Taking into account their MPG, Battier and McBob rebounded at nearly the same rate. McBob is a good passer but what are you losing in shooting?
McBob and Bosh as your starting 4 and 5 is a scary thought, and not in a good way. Talk about a recipe for getting your front court abused by anyone with a halfway decent big.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Hey, I'm one of the main guys that's been here saying that they were three wins away the way they were, but thus far if the lineup 23 posted is what you want to trot out against whoever comes out of the west, it's hard to just say that they're fine. Shabazz is a question mark. We'll see how Cole does when he's the starter now. McBob will help, but we'll see how much. Bosh is Bosh, Bron is Bron. Wade and Granger aren't even guarantees to make it through the eastern conference playoffs with all body parts in tact and that would scare the hell out of me if I'm a Heat fan.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Thought I'd jump in & post a question for you guys.
Where's the following FA's going to land?
LBJ
Melo
Bosh
Wade
Deng
Ray Allen
Here's my predictions:
JBJ- I still say Heat but Cavs are now a strong candidate
Melo- Knicks but lower chance for Lakers
Bosh- Rockets or Heat but most likely Rockets now
Wade- Heat
Deng- Mavs or Heat
Ray Allen- wherever LeBron goes more than likelyNCAA- GO VOLS
NBA- GO CELTICS
MLB- GO BRAVES
NFL- GO COWBOYS
NHL- GO PREDATORS
NASCAR- Chase Elliott
MLS- LA Galaxy
