I like Frye, I thought he and Dragic were a great pick and roll pair in Phoenix, but...8 mil/year...for four years? On a team that already has a bunch of power forwards?

The Magic do need shooting in their lineup but I don't understand the logic in way overpaying Frye for it.

I doubt it. Bosh isn't the problem down there. It's Diva Wade and his bad knees.

What if the Heat want Bosh to think LeBron may actually be going to Cleveland and thinking he's going to get stuck holding the bag in Miami without LeBron there so he's out of the loop and decides to take the money in Houston. Like, Riley doesn't want to tell Bosh they don't want him back since he helped them get 2 rings, so they want him to leave on his own to Houston and then Melo can take his place and sign on with Bron in South Beach after they push Bosh out this way?
Would be a snake move. And I honestly don't see the upgrade on the Heat's part in bringing in Melo. They still have that Wade guy taking money for doing nothing.

I'm pretty sure that these moves do eat into that number. I'm not 100 percent on that, but I think it's definitely something that brings that number down.

I wonder if this is the end of Miami's moves outside of the Big 3. McBob and Granger.

What station were you listening to King? lol I'm joking because you live in Chicago, but the Dan LeBatard show was on my local ESPN radio on my way home and they were proposing the same thing.

It does make sense given how things are playing out, but I really doubt it. The problem in Miami is Wade. It's hard for these guys to commit to that team long term without having full confidence that Wade can stay healthy and play at at least close to a top player level. I don't see how forcing Bosh out is going to help things. I don't think Melo is the best fit there either. They don't need scoring... if they land Melo whats the lineup going to be? Melo or Bron playing the 4? McBob playing center? lol

If that were to happen I would say that Riley should go into politics just so we can see a real life House of Cards go down lol

Hope not, that would be somewhat a disappointment. Would've prefer us getting Marion over Granger as I'm sceptical he will be the guy to take pressure of LeBron and reduce his minutes during the course of the season. Also maybe Mcbob can be our Boris Diaw in the playoffs.

Still hoping Pat can land one more key piece aka Gasol.

Ariza and Deng are still out there. I would think this is it until they get answers from Bosh, Wade and Bron though on their demands though cause those are deals that they need a clear number on what they're going to pay them before they can spend any more.

It was actually the ESPN affiliate here lol. Wasn't Dan though, this was a local show.

Miami is in desperate need of a Wade-sub player. Baffled as to how that wasn't their priority.

Mavs could be the real winners in this free agency.

Do the Heat even have any more money left assuming the Big 3 get their allotted contracts? Let's say the Big 3 all take paycuts, I wonder how much money they'll even be.. Pau, Deng and Ariza all will want at least 6 mill a year (the MLE which McBob got).. I don't see that space/money being available unless I'm missing something

Yup unless someone is taking a HUGE paycut. The Heat did not improve at all if they all comeback and even if Melo were to go there.
