Not to mention blowing it up means we have assets that people want, which we don't.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Blowing it up not going to solve anything or be some quick fix though. Not for at least 2 years when everything comes off the books. This was known the minute we made the trade(really since we moved to NY)

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Can KG opt opt out, or would he have to demand a trade? I know he isn't the type to embrace change. Makes me wonder if he would consider retirement. One more run for PP & KG under Doc would be cool. I do question them leaving BK for anyone other than LA. Maybe PP if Danny over pays for a farewell tour with Boston. Doubt it, though.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
From what I've seen on Twitter, it sounds like Washington will do whatever it takes to keep Gortat, and that Ariza is probably gone. The guys on Twitter have made it sound like any NBA team that has any sort of cap space has contacted Ariza, and Washington seems to have made Gortat their priority over him.
A few of the teams interested in Ariza: Cleveland, Dallas, Phoenix, Houston, Lakers, Clippers, Heat, etc.
Edit: Obviously there's also a chance that Washington could try to bring both back though.Last edited by Yeah...THAT Guy; 07-01-2014, 10:25 AM.NFL: Bills

Thoughts?

Not sure Jameer would go all the way down to 2.5 million, but I suppose it wouldn't be a surprise either. Just can't buy this LeBron wanting no less than max stuff. He's probably feeding these guys this line just so they can hype up how great Pat Riley is working his magic when LeBron takes much less again.

Can Randolph not be moved since he came over in that trade or what's the deal there?Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Why are some of you guys surprised that some of these teams are giving out max money??
They know that these big-time superstar, free agents aren't going there. They have to compete somehow.
It seems like the formula for a small market team nowadays is to hopefully draft that one superstar guy, max him if you can, then get really lucky in future drafts moving forward.
I mean, how else can these guys compete with the big boys??Comment
