But when he's been on the floor, Livingston has been the dominant player of the two.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Would the Nets have the balls to blow it up after recently moving to Brooklyn and getting a stadium built? Even though Williams seems to be a shell of himself and Lopez can't ever stay healthy, the names alone would sell tickets. It'd be a tough sell to blow it up this quickly.. The organization might be better served to let the next two years ride out as it may with what they have.
Personally, depending on what I could get for them, I'd be open to trading everyone. Johnson, Williams, Lopez etc. etc.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
You have to factor in what his contract is. When you're not performing, and then your contract is out of control and you're hard to move, you're going to be labeled as 'terrible'.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Going strictly by your definition/description, would it be fair to label Derrick Rose as "terrible"?
Again, going by your description.
And ex, there's no way they're going to consider blowing it up and starting over from scratch(again)especially after all they've done over the years to get to this point considering where they were at before. Not even sure if that's the best option either.
I will say out of those 3 names, Joe would be the safest bet to stay after how he played/looked under Kidd, which was a stark contrast in how he looked under the last 2 Coaches.#RespectTheCultureComment

God I hope so.. If the Nets come in with a roster starting Paul Pierce and Josh Smith next year they will instantly become one of my least favorite teams ever.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I'd be shocked if Pierce wasn't back next year.
That's how confident I am in him returning. They'll probably give him a 2 year deal at/or around $8-9 Mil per.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
A high-level Brooklyn Nets official told The Brooklyn Game that a report that Deron Williams wanted out of Brooklyn "came out of left field" and that Williams has not requested a trade, but acknowledged that Williams has struggled with the burden of expectation since joining the Nets.
"He's frustrated," the source told The Brooklyn Game. "He's not happy with himself. He's not up to his standards in the three years since we got him."
The Nets traded for Williams in February 2011, hoping that he'd be their cornerstone en route to a championship-caliber team. But balky ankles and wavering confidence have held back the All-Star point guard, who has attacked the rim less and less since joining the Nets and led them to two early playoff exits. He averaged 14.1 points and 6.1 assists per game this season, two career-lows since becoming a full-time starter in his sophomore season.
The original report from HoopsCritic alleged a falling-out between Williams and Nets management, particularly Nets general manager Billy King.
But the Nets have not seriously explored the market for Williams -- yet, according to a source. They were reportedly offered Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik for Williams by the Houston Rockets this season and rejected the deal, and haven't explored what the market for him this offseason would be with the season just recently ended.
Williams is owed roughly $63 million through the 2016-17 season#RespectTheCultureComment

However, if he doesn't stay there, I'd put money on him joining the Clippers.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
That just makes the contract terrible, not necessarily the player.

This also applies to a large majority of Russell Westbrook complaints as well.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Not to mention, we've all seen how much more effective Pierce was at playing the 4 this year since he's too slow to cover SF and he has said that he actually enjoyed playing there since he's creating mismatches and the fact that he's had nothing but good things to say about the team(even during their struggles)and how much he likes the City, add all of that up and that's why I'm confident he'll be back.
It'll be interesting to see how the Clippers operate in FA and if any FA are going to follow thru on the "I won't play for them until Sterling is completely gone" threat that's been leaking out since then too.#RespectTheCultureComment

He's not there, but he *might* be flirting with that territory. Whether he wants it or not, there's a ton of pressure on him in this upcoming season.Comment
