Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Paul Pierce for $9-$10 mil per?
****, why the hell not? Ain't like we got better, more proven options and it's not like we can save any money from letting him go anyway.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I'd give him $7-$8 mil per. Anything more and consider letting him walk for nothing or S&T.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I read people saying Phil is making Carmelo look like a bad guy if he takes the max from them. I didn't think about it but I think they're right. I think it was a mistake on Phil's part to say, we can offer you the max but we'd prefer if you take less.Last edited by Vni; 07-07-2014, 12:55 PM.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Everyone, keep the Lebron specific discussions to the Lebron thread. I know there is overlap bc there are HEAT rumors and speculation of what the HEAT team could look like, which obviously includes discussing Lebron. But I don't think it's that hard to determine the difference.
As proven, this thread has a lot of legs without 2 and 3 page LBJ side tracks thrown in the middle.Comment

Also gives him a chance to look like a good guy if he takes less, even if it's just a little bit less.
Melo is the one who went on and on about being willing to take less so he was going to look like a bad guy if he took the max regardless.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

If the Knicks move that ****ing contract and we're stuck using the amnesty on Boozer, I'm gonna be pissed. Getting real sick of this ****.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Based on his production last year, I don't even think he's worth the extra $1-$2 mil. Plus, I'm not even sure if Hollins would play him at PF, which is what he's best suited for especially in a small ball lineup which I don't even know if Hollins will utilize it here like the other guy did.#RespectTheCultureComment
