You can criticize the Mavs and other front offices for overspending on these guys but what are they supposed to do? If anything has been shown to some of these teams over the past few years, its that they aren't attractive free agent destinations. Now, why Dallas isn't an attractive free agent spot, I'll probably never understand, but when you miss out on big free agents for three offseasons in a row, you tend to start to overspend on some guys that you think can really improve the team.
    Gotcha.

Didn't know you were talking his first point only because I was going to say that he was on point with his second point and thought you were disagreeing with that as well.

No, he's spot on about the front offices overpaying, but its kind of the unfortunate NBA world we live in where some places are huge free agents destinations and some places aren't going to be drawing anyone without overpaying.

Not to mention you get teams like the Mavs who have no ****ing clue what they're doing in the draft.

With kobe endorsing scott to be the lakers next head coach, it makes me curious to know how scott is as a coach. Is he good with xs and o's, does he encourage ball movement, good defensive strategy, etc. I know the lakers want him cuz hes had ties with the organization, but i wanna know how good of a coach he is.

Edit, where else did he coach besides cleveland?

I don't get what reason Dallas has to do a sign and trade if Parsons is agreeing to their offer anyways. Did I miss something? Why wouldn't Parsons just sign it if that's where he wants to be so that Dallas doesn't give anything up?

I never really paid attention to offensive and defensive schemes when I was younger but, when I was younger, the Nets made back to back Finals with him, as well as leading New Orleans to that #2 seed where CP3 should've been MVP (but they gave that to Kobe as a Lifetime Achievement Award). So I mean, I'm assuming if he has a great PG, he can do work. His time in Cleveland I feel a little suspect on simply because the talent on the roster wasn't there. So I mean, I'd look at his New Orleans years the most. CP3 endorses the hell out of him, so

So I peeked over at the Bulls forums at RealGM. Guys are going crazy over there lol

Saw somebody pushing the idea of the Bulls trading Boozer to the Nets for Joe Johnson. Thoughts?

Actually johnson to the bulls aint that bad of an idea. He can go for 20 a night when he tries. He can stretch the floor and can post up. Aside from that you gotta pick your poison of rose and johnson late in games. He can also come off screens well and spot up. Wouldnt be too bad of a pick up depending on what he gets paid. Idk the bulls money situation in its entirety and idk how much johnson is getting paid.

Would be good for the Nets as far as salary cap purposes... also team him back up with D-Will for that pick and roll game. Lionel Hollins possibly using that Conley/Gasol attack up there.
