Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
The Mavericks overpaid something fierce for Chandler Parsons. I'm guessing they think he still has some potential left, not much more IMO, and can aid them in becoming a title contender. I just don't believe he's worth $15+ million a season and the owner's are once again overpaying and over inflating player's salaries.
Just don't want to hear about losing money, escalating salaries and another lock-out any time soon. The stupid owners/GM's are to blame for these stupid contracts, again.

Nah SF y'all can have Parsons. 15 million a year for Parsons? I'm good brodie, I'm sure we can find a serviceable replacement at a 10th of that cost.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Looks like Rockets did try to do some recruiting. Lowry said that Dwight Howard tried getting him to join the Rockets. The more surprising thing....so did Chandler Parsons(who supposedly might not even stay with Rockets?)
And he squashed the Heat rumors saying he never had contact with the Heat.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
This is what's aggravating about him taking his time. It seems like all signs are pointing to him coming back. It's like the writing's been on the wall for awhile, so why is he taking so damn long?? **** or get off the damn pot already.
It just seems like he's taking his sweet time just for the sake of grandstanding.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Its easy to sit back as a fan of a team like the Spurs and take shots at other teams for overspending on guys when they have to put in minimal work to get people that they have already been having success to re-sign with them. It also helps when you have one of the greatest coaches the game has ever seen and you have a brilliant front office when it comes to drafting.
You can criticize the Mavs and other front offices for overspending on these guys but what are they supposed to do? If anything has been shown to some of these teams over the past few years, its that they aren't attractive free agent destinations. Now, why Dallas isn't an attractive free agent spot, I'll probably never understand, but when you miss out on big free agents for three offseasons in a row, you tend to start to overspend on some guys that you think can really improve the team.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I really hope not, so far all info has either came from the media or "sources". If he comes back, great. It speeds up the contending process a ton. If not, we still have a young, talented team and cap to make moves.Comment
