Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I'm sort of indifferent on the addition of Gasol, feel like it's a couple years late, but I don't view it as a step back. I think their biggest benefit was the East evening out, truthfully.
Of course it all hinges on Rose, too, but they have done a good job of providing tools to help lighten the load.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
It is hard not to be at least a little disappointed in the Bulls off-season given all the assets they had. It really makes you wish that Noah / Thibs had some quit in them and hadn't made the playoffs last year.
After the Deng Trade, it should have pushed the Bulls into lottery with Cleveland squeaking into the playoffs. Cavs never win the lottery and the Bulls likely wouldn't have had to give up a mid 1st to move up and acquire McDermott. Now maybe that additional first could have been attached to Boozer's bloated contract opening up more space or used as another asset to throw towards NYC for Anthony.
Either way the team should be improved greatly from last year and I'd have to expect another moving coming, although it might not happen until mid-season. Given that they now have 4 post players and 4 wings all deserve regular rotation minutes.Path to the Hall of Fame: Guts, Glory and Gangrene:

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
A mid-first round pick is probably what you're looking at in return for Rondo. Another future 1st and a decent player would be most likely be included in such a deal, but Boston will not receive anything significantly better than that. I would lower your expectations for any future deal.Comment
