lol there's an out of nowhere signing. If he can play defense like he did for the Heat and hit three's at a decent clip, I'm okay with it. No way we used our MLE on him, I hope. We probably either used a minimum or used a bit of the extra money we saved on Dirk's even smaller contract to get him. Only two roster spots left now.

This Mavs team is gonna be a fun one.

That's such a Dallas Maverick signing

Spurs/Mav's should be incredibly fun this year

IF the Hornets can end up with a Kemba, Lance, MKG, Boozer, Al line up, that would be a team I would definitely want to avoid in the playoffs.

I want it to happen so badly. I'm cautious on Lance because of his reputation, but he would be amazing in filling what McRoberts left as a secondary ball handler, along with providing improved shooting at the 2 and an elite perimeter defender alongside Kidd-Gilchrist.

Hornets really could become the Eastern Conference version of the Grizzlies.

That'd be an interesting matchup with the Raptors.

            Lowry - Kemba
            Lance - Ross
            Demar - MKG
            Amir - Boozer
            Val - Jefferson

Those are actually really, really close matchups. That'd be super entertaining.

Free agent Jason Smith has signed a one-year, $3.3M deal with the New York Knicks, league source tells RealGM.

                Pelican fans your thoughts please

Not a Pelicans fan but I like him, they just didn't need him after adding Asik.

Clippers should have signed him rather than Hawes and used the extra to grab a SF. Somewhat similar players.

I loved Jason smith, really active player and has a good mid range shot for a big man.

Think he had a few injuries that slowed him down

I've warmed up to the idea of Lance in Charlotte but I don't know about Boozer at the 4 with Jefferson...Hornets don't have spacing as it is...

I feel like every move Dallas is making is designed so that they can beat the Spurs in the playoffs next time around lol.

EDIT: That statement sounds a lot more "well, duh" than I originally thought...

because JB has no idea how to run a basketball orgranization and will send the lakers into decades of lottery picks until he hands the team to someone else
I feel you. It's just that everything going on with the Lakers feels to weird. Maybe because im not use to seeing them with no sense of direction. At this point barring any future FA signings, my Magic have a brighter future then the Lakers.

Also, what's the read on Gary Harris. The few times I watched him at MSU he balled but I didn't see enough of him to properly evaluate him. And he is playing pretty good in summer league game I'm watching now.

Shard's contract is for the vet minimum, awesome. Seems like people that know more than I do about it think that Bernard James is gonna get the last vet minimum contract, but I'm not so sure with Greg Smith being here. Really depends on how much the Mavs want to use Brandan Wright at the 4 vs at the 5.
