Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Exactly I'd rather Randle and Davis to log those minutes, don't see a need for Boozer at all. We definitely aren't making the playoffs so why even make this move.
He doesn't play any defense, we have a young guy we need to develop and Davis already at PF.Horseshoes & HollyWoodComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I really don't think so. Sacramento fans were great last season. They're optimistic about the new owner and GM. Wouldn't make sense to lose faith after just one year in new management.

You're right. But essentially swapping Isaiah Thomas for Darren Collison and trying to go after a guy like Josh Smith when you have a chance to build a young core about one of the better young players in the game in Cousins would make sense.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I just don't buy the value that Love will supposedly add to this team.
He's a very good player individually, he's a very good rebounder, and he can fill it up. But he definitely doesn't benefit the players around him and make them better, I keep seeing "win now" yet Love has no playoff success, hell he hasn't even had the regular season success to reach the playoffs. Plus he's often injured, and makes them worse defensively..
Sure Love can score 20-25 points per night in Minny, and he snags tons of rebounds. But will a team with LeBron, Kyrie, Waiters, Wiggins, are they going to have so much trouble scoring that they need to add a 20ppg guy just because he's a "star"?
Andy rebounds well, TT rebounds well, LeBron rebounds well, Wiggins will likely be in that 5rpg area that other athletic SG tend to average.
IMO the only thing Love adds that they "need" is that he stretches the floor better than what TT or Bennett do. But it's not like that roster is hurting for shooters either. And that's a lot of money to spend and a lot of potential to give up just to add a few more attempts from 3 per night.
We have no idea how Love will look playing 2 or 3rd fiddle, we also have no idea how Waiters, Wiggins, Bennett, etc will look playing next to LeBron.. All of which were higher draft picks than Love, and for all we know could develop as well, or better than he did. (Unlikely).
I honestly don't want any trade for Love to happen. But IF they did make a trade, sending Wiggins would be foolish considering they could probably swap Waiters and TT/Bennett.. Sending Wiggins AND other players or picks is just mind blowingly idiotic, IMO.
It would be my opinion that Love would basically become a glorified spot up shooter playing with LeBron, and a downgrade defensively over what they currently have. Especially if Andy went down and Love had to slide to the 5.
You just don't trade two number 1 overall picks and a future first for a guy that takes up all of your remaining salary, makes you worse defensively, and just spots up for 3 all game.. ESPECIALLY since there is no guarantee he's going to resign, and technically has 0 playoff experience so claiming he's a "win now" option could be the farthest thing from the truth.

2014 Off-Season Thread
I am pretty sure we will trade Boozer and other expiring deals for something. Doubt he'll be a Laker for the entire season. So, nah, I didn't get the memo. Not yet.
I am not even sure if he can be traded based on the rules, but he's a expiring contract for flexibility next year.Last edited by Jrocc23; 07-17-2014, 04:42 PM.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
If Wiggins is traded for Love, I'll be ticked. There's no reason for the Cavs to even be considering it. Wait it out, Minnys demands will lessen by the all star break, as they'll be left empty handed if they hang onto him.
Let the existing Cavs play together, gel, see how we look. Again, there is 0 reason to make a trade right now.
Love is not the missing piece that makes us the champs. He's a good player, but I don't think he's the difference between winning and losing right now.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Even if the Cavs do trade for Love they most certainly don't do it now.
They have half the season to see who fits and who doesn't, and Minny has no pressure to trade Love immediately.. Hell nobody even knows if they want to trade Love, all we know is that he likely isn't going to resign.
