Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I understand why a lot of Cavs fans would be pissed to see Wiggins go, but if they pull off that Love trade, they would be lock-city for the Finals.
LeBron also wouldn't have to worry about banging down low to help rebound. Save a ton of wear and tear on his body. Take some much needed scoring load off as well.
They already have a good rebounding squad though. Varejao actually rebounded just as well as Love did last season when you give him equal minutes, he's still at 10 in 27 minutes too, and Thompson is another 10 per 36, averaged 9 in 31 last season.
As a team they were tied for 10th in the league with Chicago, just adding LeBron and Wiggins should bump that up a few spots without LeBron having any extra "banging" to do.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Haha, when the guys quit against the Celtics, that hurt man. I"quit" on them, said I couldn't support them if they didn't care enough to give their all in a series. Been through too much crap in my 32 years of life, being a Cavs fan, haha.
I still support the Grizzlies, I enjoy the grind it out, team basketball. It's a great getaway from Le-Iso style of play.
That's the same reason I pulled for the Pacers. Before they were cool and pushing the Heat to the limits, they were a gritty defensive squad. Somewhere they lost that. Even though my wife is from Indy, she couldn't even get behind them. She got into watching the Cavs when we first met and she adopted them due to my crazed fan status haha.
She's talked more bball the past week with Mr than the past 4 yrs combined, as she sees my passion and enthusiasm back.
Now, to find my Ricky Davis, Darius Miles and Donyell Marshall bobbleheads. Haha.
SpoilerKidding of course lol. I understand you weren't really a true Pacers fan from the start. Only downside now is I'm basically the only full time Pacers fan around here now. Healy comes and goes, AA comes around for the Playoffs, and I have no idea who stole Dunnyduns from us lol. Haven't seen him in awhile.
I'm lonely now, you need to come back. Maybe summer of 2016? LeBron a FA?!?!!!?!?!Indianapolis Colts

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
The only reason these came up is because the Cavs made Wiggins available. They're both going all out for Love.
I think Kevin Love will play in Minnesota next year and hit free agency. I'm not anticipating a trade whatsoever.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I wonder what the Bulls were offering as sweetner when attempting the S/T of Gasol for Boozer.
Whatever it was (protected 1st rounder) must have not been worth ~$13M (16.8M base - 3.2M claim).
Also kind of surprised Lebron would rather play with Love than Wiggins. With Love you need to have a rim proctector in your lineup at all times meaning Lebron is always going to be stuck guarding someone on the perimeter.
The Heat's 2 most effective lineups last year were with LBJ at the 4. Love is a fantastic player but combining him and Lebron doesnt allow both to play at their max capacity in terms of roles. Kyrie is going to use a lot of possesions and Love's production would suffer.
If i were CLE i would try to facilitate the Golden State T-Wolves deal for Klove but pass Klay Thomspon onto CLE for Waiters + Picks and or Bennett.
Minny should like the deal as Waiters has to wait a year longer than Thompson for FA and they need as many assets as possible.
The Cavs then run out a lineup with 2 big, good defending wings letting Lebron get more rest on D and facilitate and offense with a 40+% 3pt shooter.

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Mike Miller told ESPN Radio on Thursday that he's trying to recruit Ray Allen to sign with the Cavaliers, pointing to the veteran as the kind of player that will help LeBron James and his new team in key spots in the playoffs.
Miller, who agreed to join his good friend James and sign with the Cavs earlier this week, responded "of course," when asked on "The Herd" if he was pitching the Cavs to Allen.
"We got James Jones, now we're moving Miami to northeast Ohio," Miller said, referring to Cleveland's addition of the former Miami Heat forward on Wednesday.
