With the varying opinions I think it's clear that after Harden the next tier pretty much includes everyone else. I don't think you can really make a case for one being "better" than the other

Yeah I don't think the order matters much after Harden."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Young players are always overhyped though. It happened with Lilliard, Irving, Klay, DeRozan etc. etc.Comment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I need to see more than 1 season of similar production from Beal before I start calling him Top 2-3 especially since prior to last season, we all would've laughed at calling him a Top 2-3 SG.
And I'd do the same for any other young player as well. Granted, he plays at a position where it'll be "easier" for him to narrow the gap between he and the best player at the position since SG(could make a case for Center) is the weakest position in the league(as far as elite/great talent goes), but I need more than 1 year before I do that.
Need that same, if not improving, consistent production for at least a season and a half-2 full seasons just so I can know that the 1st season wasn't a fluke. That's just me.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
I respect the effort you put in, but I'm going to shorten up your post for you...I could say, "if John Wall shoots 40% from three next season on a career high in attempts he's the top PG in the league". It's just not very likely that will actually happen.
Health matters when it comes to evaluating players. The odds of Wade playing 60+ games with an increased burden aren't very high.
A healthy Wade is arguably the best 2 guard in the league. Give me 75+ games of Klay/Beal/Lance/Afflalo/DeRozan/Hayward/Etc over 50 games of Wade, though.
Its like saying Andrew Bogut is a top 5 center if he can stay healthy. He can't.Last edited by 702; 08-31-2014, 10:32 AM.Comment

Where did any of my posts say "if Wade is healthy" though? I don't believe I said that anywhere, and acknowledged in my last post that he will never really be "healthy".

At the same time, you dont want him to walk for nothing (Kevin Love situation). Trade him to the kings and steal all their 1st rounders ...(YouTube) ShuaBuckets - Subscribe to #GetBuckets

Re: 2014 Off-Season Thread
Honestly at this point where is a good spot for a trade? Most of the "contenders" already have a good PG. I'm hoping the Pistons somehow get in on that and can trade Monroe and or Josh Smith + anyone but Drummond.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals
