That's for my dude ThreeKing right there

"I just couldn't leave from that perspective," he said at the Bloomberg Sports Business Summit in Manhattan. "There were so many opportunities that I started to build upon here in New York City, business opportunities, different situations.
"I just felt if I was to leave, I would have to start all over in the next place, meet new people, build that foundation up once again, and it took me a lot to build that foundation and get it up and going to where it's at right now."

Carmelo Anthony has ambitious plans as a businessman.

Anthony and business partner Stuart Goldfarb, former VP of NBC, launched Melo7 Tech Partners this summer. The company invests in startup firms specializing in digital media, Internet consumer ventures and technology-based operations.

“I want to brand myself as the digital athlete,” Anthony said Thursday at the Bloomberg Sports Business Summit in Manhattan. “Nobody really took that place. There’ve been athletes that came before me that were doing what I’m doing and there are going to be people after me that are doing what I’m doing.

“But I really want to be the pioneer for that digital athlete, and when it comes to tech I want to be the face of that space,” said Anthony.

Anthony has noted how Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and David Beckham have become known worldwide for their business interests.

“At the end of the day, we all know what’s my day job: basketball,” Anthony said. “That’s what my brand is built on, but I’m trying to take my brand to the next level, make it bigger, make it stronger.”

Lmao. His brand is **** if he's still out there posting 37-45 seasons and missing the playoffs.

Greg Monroe officially signs his one year QO.

A person with knowledge of the deal says Greg Monroe has signed a $5.48 million, one-year qualifying offer with the Detroit Pistons.

Let the trade talks resume. Side note this QO comes with a no trade clause. So It makes it even more difficult for the Pistons to trade him.

Money Melo lol. We knew what it was all about anyway. He ain't saying nothing new.

I don't think he's winning MVP though. I think he's gonna struggle this year honestly because he's gonna be trying to justify that contract and passing on a chance to win now and he's gonna over do it. Kinda how Taj Gibson struggled hard that first year after he got paid.

Yeah, so I was right from the jump, but I took nothing but grenades up in here. LOL, whatever.

At least he's being honest this time around. I'll give him that. But he should know that the strongest way to build one's "brand", is to win championships. But good luck with that, with that garbage squad, brosef.....

Wasn't going to win championships at Chicago anyway so it doesn't matter. Might as well stay where you're comfortable and make a ton of money.

LOL, how the hell do you know?!?

No doubt Cleveland with Love also coming over would be a problem, but Chicago was his best chance. You can't kick it to the curb and say, "no, it wouldn't happen", like you have a crystal ball or something...lol.

It's not like Chicago is the damn Jazz or T-Wolves.

I have no idea either. What is a digital athlete? Only thing I could think of was a professional gamer. Personally, I have an issue calling someone who plays video games for a living an athlete.

To be fair, that's exactly what we're doing with New York though. Acting like we have a crystal ball or something and saying they aren't going to do anything. Granted it's highly unlikely that the Knicks make any noise at all this year, but we don't know for sure.

That said, the plan was to get Carmelo and Pau. You can't sit here and dismiss that Bulls team from winning a title as if they're playing in the western conference or something. I wouldn't say that team couldn't come out of the west either, but I could understand that argument a hell of a lot more than 'the Bulls weren't winning a championship anyway.' That's based on what? They could certainly get out of the eastern conference with that squad. They could certainly beat a western conference team four times in a series.

That quote by James Worthy was brutal though. It was something like "All we have to do is get LaLa, because once you have LaLa, Melo has no say in the matter."

That quote still makes me cringe lol
