And, contrary to reports and rumors, it's not the Los Angeles Lakers or the San Antonio Spurs that McGrady is eyeing.

McGrady said from his south Orlando home that the Houston Rockets likely would be his first choice should he and the Magic part ways.

A league source told the Sentinel that T-Mac also would be receptive to the Indiana Pacers or the Detroit Pistons because they've had trouble scoring in the playoffs.

Magic General Manager John Weisbrod says the Magic will continue to do everything they can to keep McGrady in pinstripes.

Asked about a report listing the Lakers and Spurs as teams that interest him, McGrady said, "No, not San Antonio and L.A.

"I don't want to go there. I don't want to go somewhere where everything's already in place. That would be too easy. I want a challenge."

I can see the Houston scenerio happening. I heard Houston is shopping the hell out of Steve Francis, and one of the main teams they're focused on making a trade with is the Magic.

I can see Francis/Mo Taylor for Tmac. And if Okafor doesn't turn out to be a bust, the Magic would have a fairly good backcourt.

They probably would have to give up Joe Johnson at least. The Magic are in no position to demand something from other teams and they know it. They'll take what they get. Money won't be an issue because Marbury's contract is gone, and I think they have some other big contracts that are being dumped this off-season.

No. I could see Indy shipping off Bender and Tinsley, but no way Artest goes at all. Harrington COULD go, but he's a great force off the bench so I doubt that as well. Tinsley could go because he's not the youngest and Indy could pick up someone in the draft or FA to run point.

I dont see Artest and JO getting traded.

I think Al may get traded, and Tinsley may, although Donnie Walsh has always liked his game and wants to let him grow. I also dont think Bender will get traded, as this team, namely DW is really high on him, hence his big contract extension.

I dont pretend to be a gm, cause half of my "proposed" trades would have backfired on me, but DW seems to know what he is doing, and I think he is in the top 3 for GM's in the league, so I never doubt him.

It will be interesting to see how this off season works out
