Re: How good could Jordan have been?

How can the zone defense make anyone better, it is absolute garbage and should be taken out of the NBA. The only reason its in the league is because Jerry Colangelo is a baby and was sick of getting killed by shaq, so he pushed it to Stern and somehow it won. While it probably wouldn't slow down a player as great as MJ it certiantly wouldnt make it easier for him. The zone promotes laziness and shows you cant d up man to man. It is a legal way to cheat in my opinion. So David Stern if you want to keep seeing 3's being chucked up keep this zone around. By 2010 39% will be considered a great shooting % for a guard.

MJ faced this against the Pistons and learned to dominate it back in 91. The zone was put in because guys can't shoot, and the D is not better than it was. How sad have things gotten since 98 that you have to keep changing the game to adjust to players, and not the players adjust to the game.

My last point on this, it was put in to try to hold shaq down, I really really belive that. why would they put it in because guys cant shoot. That makes it even worse cause they will shoot more. Maybe you can fill me in because i might not know the real reason, although I have my beliefs. Thanks

They said it was to promote more ball movement and more scoring. I say why change the game when the game isn't broken. Change the players that can't play.
