Kd said hes worn out from last season, i actually somewhat believe that because he looked it towards the end of the season going into the playoffs. His fg% was terrible(for him at least) and there were times when westbrook pratically carried the team on his own, because durant was so up and down in postseason. Especially when hes the centerpeice on a team with championship expectations, i was surprised to see him here at all. Though i will agree that him pulling out is a bad sign.

Derrick Rose/James Harden/Klay Thompson/Anthony Davis/Demarcus Cousins is still plenty good to win the gold. They will be fine, but it will be tougher now.

Really any PG they start will be good. I kinda wish they would start Rose/Kyrie and use Curry more off the ball as a Harden sub, just because he's fun to watch coming off screens and being a scoring focus. I honestly would rather see DeRozan in the line up, though I'm sure Klay with his shooting will get that spot.

Why should we automatically assume it's Paul George related?

I'll say this in that they'll still be favored to win(Insert American Arrogance lol)but the Tournament definitely became a lot more interesting.

Was that KD's official reason? That he is worn out? I believe him, he plays a lot of minutes and pretty much plays every game...

With that said, I wouldn't be shocked one bit if the George injury was what tipped his decision..

I'm guessing it's a combination of the George injury and just wanting to rest before the season starts.

Oh well, we should remain the favorites with the guys that he have to replace PG and KD. Give some confidence boosts to Thompson/Hayward/Parsons if they're able to step up in their place.

Don't worry guys. Tom Thibodeau is on staff and he's already prepared for this kind of thing.

5 players is enough for Thibs.

Jeff Van Gundy had the best quote about Tom Thibodeau.

Van Gundy: "Tom Thibodeau would play a serial killer if it meant he could win games."

There's no doubt in my mind that Coach K will use Curry as a shooting guard not a point guard. You can book that. Harden will probably be a sub too, with Curry starting.

Yea it is his official reason, i read it on bleacher report, and he said that hes worn out and would like to be ready for the regular season.

I would honestly love that. I just didn't figure there was a chance Harden could get benched.
