that was just a very insightful, correct post followed by one so idiodic it's unbelievable

on many days shaq will jump hook your [censored] to death, he has fantastic footwork, is a great passer, he can dribble(he just doesn't shocase that part of his game), and has a great first step. So yes shaq uses his body but you can not say thathe has no finesse game. And furthermore, shaq hs the right to complain to refs the way he gets destroyed down there everynight. Shaq does get a pass on some offensive fouls but with a player that size it is hard to tell when he is just playing or if he is using excessive force. Also many players on the opposing team do not get called for fouls because shaq is so large, it doesn't seem like they are doing much. He is a very talented player and to say that being big is his whole game is disrespectful.

A great first step? Where? I haven't seen him use any first step. What I have seen him do is hit people all game and never get called for it, do a couple of hook shots a game, and just dunk it the rest. He can pass, I'll give you that. But he complains way to much when he is hitting people all the time. And I'm sick of people saying that it's just his size that makes it seem like he's fouling people. It's clear to see that he fouls all the time.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

How many Laker games do you watch?

If you saw yesterday's game you would see how Shaq can make a quick first step before. He gets the ball and makes the move before the defender can react. Did you see the play where he spinned off the defender to go for the lob, then came back to the front of the key, caught it, and made a soft short jumpshot.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

He can do that because Pistons has no counter for him. Ben is too small to contest his shot, Campbell is old and slow, and Okur don't want to play physical with Shaq. But against David Robinson or Tim Duncan he can't do those quick first step. Of course I can't think of anyone big enough to limit Shaq aside from Duncan. Divac is a flopper so I would not say he can defend Shaq honestly. Ben can defend Shaq honestly but Shaq is too big and strong. I don't know about KG if he can defend Shaq honestly but judging of that long arms of his he can defitnitely lower Shaq's FG percentage. I don't know about Yao Ming though. Webber can also defend Shaq honestly but he will have to sacrifice offense. Those are the players I can think of right now.

why are we even having this comparison? MJ is pretty much the undisputed GOAT, or at least much higher on the list than Shaq...

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
