    Re: Jamison to the Wizards!

    great trade by the mavs

they can add another young player

IMO, the Mavs should resign Nash and Daniels - then keep the team as is this season and sign shaq when he becomes a FA after this next season.

There is NO WAY that Dallas is trading Dirk for Shaq. Shaq has 5 years left - tops. Dirk probably has 10 and hasnt even peaked yet. Also, Shaq has one year on his contract. Dallas shouldnt trade anyone for Shaq unless they are sure that he will sign an extension.

Dallas can wait a year and have plenty of money to sign shaq as a FA.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post">I love Dirk as much as the next Mav fan but he really plateaued this year. This was the first year his game didn't improve. He kinda regressed and settled for the jumper too much. I really don't want to see him traded but he didn't show anything this year to show he is going to take his game to the next level by being a low post threat as well as the other things he does well. We would be getting a motivated Shaquille O'Neal who has been dissed by the Lakers. He thought he was the son and Buss has dissed him. Where ever he goes, I think he'll be MVP next year.

Shaq wont necessarily be a FA after this next season. He has a player option, which if he takes, he wont get nearly as much money as he would extending or resigning with whatever team he is on.

I would punch him in his face and kick him while he was down. No Shaq if Dirk's not involved!

Also Finley plays the same position as Kobe so why would they trade for him.

Because Kobe is no longer a member of the Lakers. He will be wearing a different uniform next season.

You seem pretty sure about Kobe and also Shaun Livingston being a Clipper. I bet neither end up coming true.

I love Dirk as much as the next Mav fan but he really plateaued this year.

SOMiss, I'm one of the biggest Mavs fans there are and I agree dirk's game didnt improve much this year, but i think a lot of that is because he was never really healthy this year. his ankles were bothering him all year, because he didnt let them heal when he sprained them.
I really hope the Mavs dont trade dirk or stevie wonder for shaq. shaq has started his decline already and both dirk and nash have a lot of time left. who knows how much time shaq will miss b/c of his arthritic toe?
