    Re: Jamison to the Wizards!

    Well, Jamison is gettin paid HELLA $, I didnt know his contract was like that. Laettner was an expiring contract, and after this season, Jamison will still be making more money than stack and the 5 pick combined. On one hand, im glad stack is gone, but on the other, this is kinda like what Dallas did to Boston last year, taking advantage of a team trying to get rid of an outcast star.

    4 more years at this price is a little much
    $12,584,688

    $13,843,157

    $15,101,626

    $16,360,095

      What exactly are our problems? Youth &amp; injuries. the Wizards would have at the very least been in the PO hunt last season if everyone wasnt hurt. We are right there with Miami (arguably better), just because they made it to the second rd I think you have overrated them. Wizards get younger by giving the mavs 29 yr old stack and old man laettner for 28 year old Jamison. The wizards really didnt need the 5 pick unless they were going to get a big time SF, which they now have. We'll pickup a C with our 2nd rounder, maybe make another deal, but the grass is alot greener than you make it out to be.

      Whoa, Mike, slow down.

      I'm not sure if you even believe that. The Wizards are cellar-dwellars, plain and simple. I think just by getting rid of Stack, they make themselves a better team.

      But playoff contender? And last year, better than Miami? Are you nuts man. Arenas and Jamison may be a slept on tandem, but there's a ton of holes in that lineup.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

      I meant this year we are arguably better, and we were a .500 team without injuries last year. I do believe it, I watched all 48 mins of 81 games last season, they could easily had 37+ wins.

      Ton of holes?
      Arenas/Hughes = high powered backcourt
      Jamison = All star caliber SF
      Kwame = Blossoming PF, avg. 13 &amp; 8 from jan - april
      Haywood = 7' shotblocker + rebounder

      Bench:
      Hayes: athletic 2 or 3 with 3 point range + good rebounder
      Thomas: banger down low
      Blake: pass first backup PG
      Dixon: energy off the bench

      Our second rounder should get us a backup PF/C and we'll be set. I dont think im being too optimistic, I just think there are too many people pessimistic about the Wiz without really knowing whats the deal.

      BTW Dieselboy, I completely agree with your first post, that was well written

                  I have that feeling as well. And, if Nash and Dirk are gone... who all the Mavs have besides Shaq, Finley, and Walker? Eh, I'm not sold on this one one bit.
