I see that most people never watched Luol Deng play in college. I watched a lot of his games this past year and yes he still has a ways to go but he has a strong work ethic that not many other people in the draft have. He will have a bigger impact on the Bulls then Gordon will. I still think Gordon will help the Bulls out a lot. But Deng won't put up a lot of points early on but he will bet rebounds and play great defense. He will be the steal of the draft as long as he doesn't get into an accident. Chris Duhon will also be a very capable backup and could become a starter eventually.
Now trade Crawford, Chandler, Robinson for Paul Pierce or Al Harrington.

i agree defense.
He is versatile but i would say mainly at smallforward.
He actually has potential to be a very good defender at the smallforward position and altho he has more of an athletic build - he has excellent potential as a rebounder because of his aggressive instincts.
Deng has an eye for the ball and the ability to go and get it.
I was disapointed to hear Deng go pro. If he stayed at duke , he may have been the #1 or #2 scoringOption. most of the time and on fastbreaks and loose balls. The intensity level , and his athletic/physical dominance over many college players would have alowed him to learn on-the-job , IN GAMES.
In the NBA, Deng will be matched or overmatched because of his size and weight many times inside. On the perimeter quicker guards will harass him.
Building your confidence a little in college helps. Just getting the muscle memmory of dunking on some fool in the NCAA or executing a perfect Step-back-fadeaway move with a hand in your face never hurt anyone

These moments will be fewer and farther between for Deng in the NBA. In college he could have actually tried new things in game situations vs some of the weaker teams. However in Dengs favor he has a strong work ethic and he has a solid support group(has had sponsers for several years now.).
Deng has an NBA body , which is funny because his height isn't ideal for his position.
He could be an inch and a half taller , but he is athletic enough to offset or surpass his opponent enough of the time to make him interesting.
We are all watching to see if Deng will apply his ability to fully developing his offensive game. Cane he turn raw talent into refined skills , and What is Dengs Limit - Is he a 12ppg scorer or a 17ppg scorer ? ? ? ?
