I think it's a damn bad move for the Heat -- for the Lakers, not at all. Miami is just a couple of pieces away for a DAMN good run (yes, better than last season's) in the post-season. I think this throws the team backwards.

yeah miami is more of a run and gun team, and thats not gonna happen with shaq. Plus how big is grant's contract.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

Seems fair atleast that way Caron wont pop up in trade rumors for every player in the history of the NBA. I swear i saw a rumor involving Fennis Dembo, Vinnie Johnson, and a 1st round draft pick for Caron
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

            Re: Shaq to the Heat

I personally do not want the Heat to trade any of the core of Butler, Wade, and Odom for anyone. They play so well together. I want them to just sign the best pg and C they can get this year, even if that means waiting a year before they make a serious run for the title.

                  Re: Shaq to the Heat

the heat would be the favorite for the title with Oneal and Wade , Eddie Jones at guard and possibly rasual butler at forward. Malik Allen wouldn't be the worst 5th man in the league at powerforward.

This is not going to happen. The Lakers would rather call Shaq's bluff , then to do a Quality for Quantity trade. Grant is basically a backup powerforward at this point. Odom is a perimeter big , he would probably have trouble defering the perimeter to Kobe. And if Shaq goes to Miami , you know the number 1 will not even be a lottery pick.

If I'm the Heat, I would complete this deal as fast as I can. They would have a nice lineup with Wade, Jones, and Shaq.
