Knicks fans need to come back to earth, because there's no way we're getting Air-Canada without at least offering Starbury in return. Nobody in their right mind would want Allan Houston's contract...NOBODY. Just wishful thinking, which in fact is becoming more and more pathetic by each post.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Yeah, as pathetic as trading Kenyon Martin for 3 draft picks.

That's why 3rd teams get involved.

Don't be mad because some of your GMs get suckered into bad deals or clutch their wallets and don't want to make things happen. Don't blame the fans, blame the team management.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

I agree with you when you say that trade was one of the stupidest ever. I don't know what the hell Rod Thorn was thinking, but that was a horrible deal. It becomes even more dumber when you read the details of the trade and find out that all draft picks, but the Nuggets one I believe, are all protected. One draft pick, at least, is protected from 1-8..What the hell is that?! Horrendous deal.

And for the record, I too am a Knicks fan and I'm well pleased of my GM.

P.S. This just came to me, but what if Isiah, if he nabs J-Craw, turns around and involves him in the VC deal, if there ever is one.
" I look at him and it's getting to the point where it's just scaring me. He looks younger but he doesn't carry himself in a younger manner. He's impressive, and I'm glad we drafted him. "

I don't think the Bulls want Crawford anymore because they drafted Ben Gordon and they don't like him and don't think he's worth what he wants to get paid. So they're looking to move him, and want to move Eddie Robinson's horrible contract. I think Williams also has a fairly bad contract for his talent level, from the Bulls' perspective. Mutumbo and Frank Williams get off the books after this year, and Isiah wants to give up Shandon's bad contract in exchange for the Bulls bad ones. That's why the trade almost got done...it would have been &lt;allegedly&gt; a done deal if the Knicks offered Mutumbo/Othella/Williams/Shandon. Crawford's the best player in the deal, but if the Bulls want to run with Gordon and Hienrich (sp?), then it makes sense not to have Crawford be disruptive.

As Penny Hardaway's name is the latest to surface in the Jamal Crawford-to-Knicks rumors we've all heard so much about, it looks like the Bulls are preparing Jamal Crawford mentally for the possibility of the exciting guard's return to the team after a messy summer of contract negotiations.

Bulls coach Scott Skiles recently talked to Crawford on the phone according to the Chicago Tribune, telling the Bulls guard a story where he was in a similar situation and returned to the team. The Bulls are hoping that if he returns he'll be able to take the path paved by new Pacer Stephen Jackson and remain professional.

Jackson had a far from satisfying free agent period last year but reaped the benefits of a solid season in Atlanta this offseason.

Overpaid bums. Where's the startling revelation in saying that? We all know this. It's that you're so caught up in your team, that you don't realize the dire situation that you're in.

That starting 5 comparison is a joke. It's not even close.

If you think that the Raps will get equal value for VC, you're kidding yourself. He'll be dealt for whoever Isaiah wants to give them.

I can't believe a Raptors fan is talking smack about the Knicks, this is hilarious.

Fine, you want to go the "my player got injured route". Houston was out 32 games last year. that's 20 points a game right there. Without him, the Knicks still were a 7th seed. The team can only go anywhere but up once they get a training camp together. Add in Dampier and all of the sudden, this team might actually rebound.

The Knicks might have a bunch of overpaid players, but they will be playing playoff basketball next season while the Raptors will be watching from their living room. Better hope the NHL doesn't go on strike or it will be a long spring for you guys.

"The Knicks might have a bunch of overpaid players, but they will be playing playoff basketball next season while the Raptors will be watching from their living room. Better hope the NHL doesn't go on strike or it will be a long spring for you guys."

Wait till the season starts and see who teams might be getting before making bold statements like that...
