    Re: What a shocker

Well the criminal trial is OFF for now.

The prosecution has filed a continuance. Funny, after they were the ones crying for a speedy trial.

I stopped reading right there. You would never make it on a juror's stand and your opinion was already stained before this case even started.

I mean, keep in mind folks, that the defense does not make the verdict.
OJ, Jason Williams, watch Michael Jackson get off...

in the Kobe case, or any of the 3 i just mentioned, were it me, you, any unknown random person, we'd be convicted in a heartbeat. The only difference between me and a celebrity is the fame and money.

MJ has....he walked on the first one by settling out of court.

What about sports and rock stars who have injured and killed people while DUI? They walk all the time?

              What about Robert Blake???

How about the kids of celebrities that avoid jailtime all the time?

look at the flip side though, we would be less likely to be accused as we know how attractive going after celebrities are...its almost a witch hunt in some cases.

It is more likely for a celebrity who has done nothing, to be accused, than for someone who has done nothing to be accused

another difference between you/I and a celebrity is that they are targets

Yes, unlike OJ, the common man is far less likely to be accused of nearly chopping his ex-wife's head off....

OJ wouldn't have walked. Blame the stupid police. Jason Williams is being retried. Yes, I would have sent them to jail. But, no to MJ. I just think he's a target because of his behavior. And the kid's mom is suspect.

Ya'll can talk about celebs getting off all the time, but MJ and Kobe's case are different. They're cred cases.

Want to talk about a group of people above the law. Start with the politicians and ceo's. A certain president comes to mind.

Thats a very narrow and bad argument, if u are being objective in your thought process, the word "likely" should present you with the idea of probability.

im less likely to be "falsely" accused of a crime because i dont have millions to pay out and the prosecutors with aspirations dont get their face in the paper...is this hard to understand?

anyone can break down an argument and sound sensible by just narrowing it down to a level they can attack. So far i dont consider your reply a response to my argument.
