MVP of the season so far?

I'm not saying Miami would miss the playoffs fully healthy though, that wasn't me.

No one said Miami would miss the playoffs fully healthy I was simply trying to show the impact that LeBron has on a team including the cavs.

All I know is Miami spent most of the year hovering around 4-6 in the east just as everyone expected them to without LeBron and given the moves they made in the offseason. Then McRoberts went down, then Wade went down, then Napier went down, then Wade went down again, then Deng went down, then Bosh went down, then Whiteside went down. They missed the playoffs and now we gotta sit here having this discussion cause dudes want LeBron to win the MVP but the only argument that can be made for it is that the team he used to be on missed the playoffs, if you completely ignore all the facts of that situation of course.

Bottom line is when LeBron left Miami they might have been considered a playoff team but anyone who really thought they would contend for a championship was fooling themselves.

And if you read my other post I think Westbrook should be mvp because he carried that Team on his back I just thought LeBron should be considered.

Nobody's bent out of shape, just a discussion.

Lebron is the best player in the league. Of course the best player in the league will make any team better... a championship contender even. Clearly the parameters of the award aren't meant for the best player in the league, or it would just go to that player every year.

The flaw in your argument is that both times Lebron left a team there were WAY too many variables that also contributed to their downfall. Of course the Cavs were going to take a big hit the first time he left... of course the Heat weren't championship contenders after losing the best player in the league. But the level of their falls were aided by the other players moved or left when Lebron left, then magnified even more bc without the best player in the league, injuries to other star players mean role players have to play way too much.

Lebron will do enough every year to be in the MVP conversation because of how good he is, it's just your reasoning for why he should be considered this year that is flawed.

Nobody believed or thought they would contend for a championship this year but anybody that thinks they couldn't be good enough to contend in the East for a playoff spot(like they were projected to do prior to the season) are fooling themselves and just being naive for no reason.

I never said they couldn't make the playoffs read my previous post.

Exactly best player in the league that will make any team better definition of mvp.

that doesnt work, because most good players will make any team better by some degree or another. By that logic we should be handing out co mvp yearly lol

My reasoning for LeBron being considered mvp is the cavs don't have a snowball's chance in hell to win a title without him they may get in the playoffs but that meens nothing since the beginning of the nba only 2 teams have won the title that were seeded lower than 3.The 69 Celtics and the 95 rockets it's actually sad for the nba when you think about it.

And? Michael Jordan played 13 years for the Bulls, he was the best player on planet earth for about 10 or 11 of those years at least. He has 5 MVPs to show for that. If he didn't win the award every year for being the best player in world, then LeBron can make it through the same struggle.

Jordan was the greatest player that I have seen play since I have been alive and deserved that mvp every year I don't understand the logic the nba has you have to many mvps so we will pick someone new.Jordan broke Cleveland heart but I loved watching him play I don't even put LeBron on Jordan's level.

Even though I'm from Cleveland in the past I was more of a Kobe guy but a cavs fan no matter who is on the team of that makes sense.
