I am not saying that Davis should be MVP I am just saying that I think he is have a really good year and I do think he will get MVP at some point if not this year in the next sever years or so. I do think if they get hot and get like a 6th seed that davis could win because I don't think many people have the pelicans has a playoff team before the year started so if they where to not only make the playoffs but also get like a 6th seed you could say they overachieved and that could then get people to vote for daivs. Right now I think curry is mvp but depending on how Huston dose with out howard I could see harden getting the MVP. Howard has already missed a lot of game this year and Huston is not that deep of a team so if they don't fail off some like I think they will without howard then I think there is a good change for harden to get MVP.

There's no way anyone is getting MVP on a 6th seeded team in today's NBA. Top 2 or top 3 at worst.Comment

MVP of the season so far?
To be completely honest, if the Pelicans had the first seed in the West but GS or Houston had the second I would still give the award to Harden or Curry.. Just off how things sit now, they are literally responsible for more than half their teams offense while on the court. That's almost irreplaceable. But still, Davis is having a great year..
Aside from MVP, assuming this years all NBA team is Curry, Harden, James, Davis, Gasol, that's one of the best first teams in awhile IMO.. Not just judging by talent level, but the years those guys are having. Every one of them could steal some MVP votes.

Re: MVP of the season so far?
It seems odd to detract from Anthony Davis because his teammates are ball hogging morons who don't get the ball to Davis and get the hell out of the way.
Then again, I still don't think Davis is the MVP, probably should be Harden. But the guy is playing on a bad team with one of the worst chuckers in the NBA in Evans. He also has a damn near Scotty Brooks level head coach in Monty too.Too Old To Game Club

Re: MVP of the season so far?
What exactly is the difference between Harden this year and Harden last year that makes folks think he's the MVP?
And I disagree with this being the best year as far as MVP Candidates go since realistically it's only down to 2 players based on what I've been reading about tgis(Curry/Harden)#RespectTheCultureComment

The biggest is he's playing defense Pack. He's not a Jimmy Butler or nothing but he's looked better than the majority of other teams starting guards at that end, which is a giant leap from being basically the league's biggest joke to poke fun at on that end. It's basically night and day.
He's scoring more points, getting more assists, more boards, more steals, more blocks, taking smarter shots, and doing it all while playing less minutes.
Also helps that LeBron started slow and Durant hasn't been around.
He also leads the league in scoring, value over replacement player, offensive win shares. And per minute he's on the court accounts for roughly 56 percent of his teams scoring, more than half.
The only big knock you could have on him right now is he could still take a few less deep jumpers and trade a few of those in for smarter shots.. But since his co-leader for MVP, Curry, has the same exact gripe in his game it's tough to not give the slight edge to the league's leading scorer, IMO.. I still think LeBron makes a big late season push for the award though, I would predict it comes down to him or Curry.

Re: MVP of the season so far?
I still don't notice much difference in his defense from watching him. But like I said, I never thought it was as bad as people made it out to be once those videos were posted so maybe that's why.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: MVP of the season so far?
He really wasn't that bad defensively to begin with. He just lacked effort on occasion, and people made videos out of it, saying how poor of a defender he is.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: MVP of the season so far?
Basically this, the difference is just that the effort is consistent again. Back to how it was when he was at OKC and first started in Houston. He had gotten complacent for awhile I guess.

Re: MVP of the season so far?
I couldn't disagree more. Most people had the peicans has like a 10th place team so if they where to be like a 6th team in a deep deep west then you could say that he is really really caring the team. Where with someone like harden, james, curry those teams where suspected to be good.Comment

True but they are dead last in their division. I realize they play in a tough division, but it's hard to expect the MVP award when you're in last place. Especially when two other players in the top 5 for MVP voting play in that same division.
