In all seriousness though... I think Boston has some talent, but if Ainge can't land a big free agent or make a big time trade, then they're constantly going to be floundering in NBA Purgatory.

And those deals are going to be cheap. We are going into a zone in the league where every teams best player is going to get paid like AD. Whether they are a superstar or not. I can't imagine Westbrooks contract in two years.

Honestly, these contracts everyone is getting are going to look better than they do now when the cap rises in a few years.

Teams will gladly pay more upfront now if it means having more space in the future.

Only other option is a slow build through drafting well. Sucks but that's rebuilding in the NBA.

So what's the deal with the Cavs and the luxury tax? Will they have to pay this year and be in the clear once the cap rises or what? Pay next year too?

Raptors aren't getting any boards. If they can get a Wright in free agency or a Lopez the I can see it working.
Val, JJ, Carroll and Lowry can all pull their weight on the boards. Amir was never coming back.

Plus once we sign Draymond I'm sure we'll be able to grab our fair share of boards.

That's a given, hence them throwing it out now.

Can't wait to see the numbers down the road.

Again though, we're still thinking in terms of where the cap currently is. Most teams are signing guys with th 95 million dollar cap in mind and most players are negotiating with that in mind.
Not my money man lol. I wouldn't sign either one of them to deals like that. But people are following the trend. If I were Portland I would have started over. Because they aren't getting out of the West even with Lillard under contract.

@BobbyMarks42: In order for PHX to get into the Aldridge sweepstakes they will not need to clear considerable cap space. No room right now.

Send one of them Morris twins to the Knicks.

Amir is probably an overpay and upgrade over bass as a stopgap option. Don't hate it and Jerebko was pretty good in Stevens offense so that seems like a good deal. I have no clue what people were expecting.

If all you can give Draymond is 12 per then you aren't getting him bro. Might as well stick with Matthews.

Im just asking what has he done?

Steph Curry I could understand but Lillard? He was an all star replacement, and thats the only way he got in.
