Ummm he'd have to do that with the Lakers and probably the Spurs too. Not in PHX though =)

    Duncan wouldn't play center?

Of course they have the cap space to reload but still plenty of question marks in their future.
      How this year?

If he's got 2 All NBA caliber guys on his team AND their both young, why would he just willingly pass that up?

Yeah because if the Spurs got Aldridge and Duncan retired in 2 years Pop would just be like nah I'm done. Get real.

              One thing to consider:

LMA and Afflalo have issues. Might be another reason LMA doesn't wanna come here.

No I was saying that I agree with you that they're definitely the better choice THIS YEAR. Beyond that is a question mark.

You're being short-sighted though and have to look beyond just next season. Plus I'm sure Duncan would prefer to play PF at this stage in his career, hence why according to BBR he played most of his minutes at PF. That site isn't always accurate though when it comes to position listing.

                      LOL.

LaMarcus will be defending Centers no matter what team he's going to.

May not be a full time responsibility but he'll have to.

It was a lame excuse to cancel a meeting. Also, not sure how much of this leaked info I'm starting to keep on believing.

Well duh lol. But he doesn't want to do it for 30 minutes a night. This was common knowledge. People have been saying it since before Robin Lopez went to Portland. He wanted Portland to get a center to play next to. The fact that Phil apparently didn't know that (if it's true) is just laziness on his part.

Yeah BBR definitely isn't accurate for that. I think they said Khris Middleton played PF the majority of his time last year when he was the starting SG lol

Which is why PHX is ideal because Chandler and Len will guard all the Cs.

Yes, cause the Spurs wouldn't just sign another center (or two) or bring over their first-round pick (from this draft) once Timmy retires. Duncan prefers the power forward label, but anyone that watches even a few Spurs games knows that he is a center. He doesn't have the mobility or quickness on the perimeter to play power forward anymore. Duncan only did so last season cause Pop thought starting Baynes next to him was a good idea or Splitter was oft injured. With Splitter in the line up the Spurs were basically reverting back to the "Twin Towers" front court of two centers. Like Pau in Chicago or in his prime in Los Angeles.

Ooorrr...Phil knew that and didn't want to pay Aldridge the max but felt he needed to set up a meeting with him to appease New York Knick fans so they would blame the wrong party.
