Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I think that's only applicable to this year though. Pop says he's gone when Duncan is gone, which is likely next year. Then what? Parker will turn 34 at the end of next season. So when Pop/Duncan/Parker/Manu are all gone, which could be as early as 2016, that does leave a lot of question marks. Of course they have the cap space to reload but still plenty of question marks in their future.
If he's got 2 All NBA caliber guys on his team AND their both young, why would he just willingly pass that up?#RespectTheCultureComment

Yeah because if the Spurs got Aldridge and Duncan retired in 2 years Pop would just be like nah I'm done. Get real.Comment

No I was saying that I agree with you that they're definitely the better choice THIS YEAR. Beyond that is a question mark.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
His thing is that he doesn't want to defend centers. The Knicks apparently wanted him to. San Antonio, for example, would not.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
You're being short-sighted though and have to look beyond just next season. Plus I'm sure Duncan would prefer to play PF at this stage in his career, hence why according to BBR he played most of his minutes at PF. That site isn't always accurate though when it comes to position listing.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
LaMarcus will be defending Centers no matter what team he's going to.
May not be a full time responsibility but he'll have to.
It was a lame excuse to cancel a meeting. Also, not sure how much of this leaked info I'm starting to keep on believing.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Well duh lol. But he doesn't want to do it for 30 minutes a night. This was common knowledge. People have been saying it since before Robin Lopez went to Portland. He wanted Portland to get a center to play next to. The fact that Phil apparently didn't know that (if it's true) is just laziness on his part.

Yeah BBR definitely isn't accurate for that. I think they said Khris Middleton played PF the majority of his time last year when he was the starting SG lol

Ooorrr...Phil knew that and didn't want to pay Aldridge the max but felt he needed to set up a meeting with him to appease New York Knick fans so they would blame the wrong party.
