He's pretty much better than Tyson at everything besides "verticality rule" defense. Tyson is slower than he used to be, his help is slow, he doesn't step out of the lane and block shots, doesn't come from behind and block shots, doesn't cover as much ground as DJ defensively, can't hedge guards, can't give you 35+ minutes a night.

I think DJ is better offensively too. Even if his only strength is catching and dunking, he does it better than Tyson does and Tyson doesn't have an offensive game either. I think Jordan will average 15+ boards a game this year. He's led the league the past couple years playing along side Blake who himself is a 10+ rpg caliber guy, he'll snag even more playing next to Dirk.

The minutes that Jordan can play compared to Chandler is an underrated aspect imo.

The Mavs had one of the best pick and roll offenses in the league last year with Jameer Nelson, Devin Harris, Raymond Felton, and Rondo playing point guard.

Dallas led the league in alley oop dunks by far until they traded away Wright and brought in Rondo. If Chandler could score with Dallas, then so can Jordan.

Dallas is a heavy pick and roll team with one of the best 4 out 1 in offenses in the league and it should fit Jordan well.

The main thing that Dallas needs to improve this offseason is rebounding, youth, and 3 point shooting. So far, they are doing just that.

Technically CP3 really wasn't even the one setting him up for the majority of those buckets. It was Blake. I highly doubt the only way he can function offensively is when he's paired with the best PG in the league.. But I guess we'll see.

Tyson was a top 5 big man in points off of P-n-R. I expect Jordan to lead the league next year in that category since he's basically the same mold, only quicker, jumps higher, and can finish regardless of who's in his way.

He really fits what they already do. Which hasn't been favored in by many.

Admittedly, I didnt watch the Mavs play last year much at all.

I just know that Deandre got plenty of looks created for him from the CP3/Blake PnR. CP uses the pick screen set by Blake. Blake gets the pass from CP after rolling. Dre dives to the basket for the oop.

If he can get set up like that regularly in Dallas like you say, then yeah. He'll be fine.

How much of that offense was created by Monta out of curiosity?

                Re: 2015 Offseason Thread

Honestly the Jordan move just changes things in terms of seeding and easier 1st round matchups for the 1st and 2nd seeds in the West. Other than that nothing has changed unless Dallas gets a point guard.

Sacramento needs to sign Josh Smith so I can finally watch Basketball Wives. The drama on that squad would be legendary. Rondo, Smith, Boogie, Karl, Divac, the owner. And Rudy Gay is the normal one lol.

LMA needs to end this mess with the Suns and Spurs. If he goes to the Suns after all of this he is lame. If he signs a short term deal with the Spurs he is lame for falling for Pat Riley's pantie dropper talk.

Speaking of pantie dropper talk. Mark Cuban took Jordan's draws off and made the ex sniff those bad boys lol.

Nice little deal there. Knicks roster is better than last years already. What ever happened to Giannas's brother?

Why the Lakers didn't go after him is beyond me. Because they aren't getting anyone next year either.

Lakers or Magic? Because what he signed for was a pretty good price for what he is going to be.
