And Detroit was going to be in a similar position this time next year and we both know they weren't going to let Jackson walk for nothing.

And then there's the possibility of Jackson betting on himself in a contract year and forcing Detroit to pay him more money next year(aka contract year-itis).

If there's ONE position SVG is able to maximize the most out of, it's PG. Remember, he did in Miami and Orlando with the Damon Jones' and Keyon Dooling's and Jason Williams' and Rafer Alston's of the World and even managed to do it with Brandon Jennings before he got hurt.

What the hell is Detroit doing though? Are they going with a Jennings/Jackson backcourt? That'll get murdered defensively.

Mannn...Sacramento really is trying to kill George Karl lol. That team is definitely going to be league pass worthy. I just don't understand the plan. It's like they don't care anymore and just want who they consider best that's left regardless of fit. That starting line-up will have some terrible spacing too:

        Rondo
        Mclemore
        Gay
        Smith
        Cousins

It is a similar position but Detroit didn't give up as much to get Reggie, so it wouldn't hurt as bad to let him walk.
I think it just comes down to what you think of Reggie. I've never been a fan of his so I guess that's why I don't like this contract. At least he's young. He's still got plenty of time to show that he's worth it.

I'm starting to think they're serious about this 4-on-5 **** lol. They won't be able score with so little shooting on the floor so they may as well try it.
Hell, that's probably why they drafted Cauley Stein. They heard he was the best defender in the draft so Vivek probably thinks he can guard two people at once lol.

True, but they still gave up pieces that could've been used in other deals to possibly net them something better, no?

Letting him walk wouldn't have been a smart thing to do either unless it was a case of Reggie not wanting to be there at all.

KCP is the starting shooting guard and Jennings will most likely be the 6th man backup point guard. Pistons bench looks like this right now Jennnngs/Jodie Meeks/Stanley Johnson/Anthony Tolliver/Aron Baynes

Sacramento will be a top 5 league pass team next year. No doubt in my mind will that be a fun dumpster fire to watch.

Not sure how much value those guys have around the league, but yeah that's certainly possible. And I agree, letting him walk isn't ideal, I was just pointing how the situations are different. I mean, losing 2 first round picks for half a season from Dragic would just be horrible.

Just saw some of the moves the Lakers have made in the last like 2 day or so. What does ever one think about some of those moves? I have always liked Bass and Williams is a sold player. I am not expecting much from my lakers this year and wish the got a star player in FA but I think some of there moves have been nice and its not like they can get much worse lol. I mean only won 21 games last year not much room to get worse. I heard they may trade Young I hope not. What could they get for Young and what would be the point. I also saw something about Lin maybe going to Dallas in a ST from lakers. What could they get for him?
