I like the Cavs moves so far, Basketball is a team sport, and Cavs need a better team if they hope to win the title.

I feel you, I'm pretty sure I'd probably go Kobe mode and try to get as much money as possible. However, if you value winning, sometimes sacrifices have to be made.

I'm probably forgetting someone, but who is the backup C for the Spurs now that Splitter and Baynes is gone? Diaw? That PF depth though, yeesh. Can go from Aldridge to West to Duncan and even Kawhi if they go small. That's not fair.

I does bothers me the fact that sometimes there is some kind of expectations that a player has to take "less money to win".

Why? Why can't players just earn the maximum they can and win too?

But of course since there are players who are willing to take less then that confers and advantage since your are accumulating more value for less.

Can't force players to take the maximum.

The source is Broussard so take it for what it's worth, but he's saying the Cavs are preferring Crawford over JJ because JJ would make their luxury tax bill over $100 mil, so that may be a factor.
