Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Goes back to a post I made earlier. Players don't want to be coached like every game is Game 7 of the Finals. That schtick doesn't work with professional basketball players. The window for guys like that is small and his had gone it appears.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
If there is truth to this, then Game 6 makes much more sense.

Hoiberg will be interesting if/when he arrives in the NBA. I'm a big college basketball fan and I think he's one of the most overrated X's & O's guy out there. Sounded like this to me from the jump. I remember when real journalists used to just report on stuff when it happened and left the teases for opinion shows and sitcoms.Comment

Was a joke, not sure who told it. Sorry, sarcasm is hard to detect on the internet and I'm an extremely sarcastic person which probably isn't evident since I haven't been posting here much.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Again, assuming it's true. But...Bernstein gonna Bernstein so who knows lol
I do feel like this has some validity though, because I remember Deng telling a story about how he'd go to Berto to get in some shots and relax and Thibs would be there, and would come down from his office to put him through a grueling workout, for like, no reason lolLast edited by JODYE; 05-28-2015, 05:41 PM.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
There is a sentiment in Dwyane Wade's camp that he could opt out this summer with the hope the Heat would give him a three-year deal.
Dwyane Wade opted out of the final two years of his contract that would have paid him $41.6 million and instead accepted a two-year, $31 million deal. The contract includes a player option next for $16.1 million.
Wade said last summer that he was curious to see what he could command in the summer of 2016, when the cap is expected to skyrocket from $67 million to $89 million.
But according to associates, there is a sentiment in Wade's camp that he could opt out this summer with the hope the Miami Heat would give him a three-year deal.
The Heat would be content with Wade opting in for next season, the re-signing for significant but not huge money for another two seasons in 2016.
A sizable gap between what Wade would like over the next three seasons and what the Heat are prepared to pay him has materialized.Comment
