Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Vinny may be a lot of things, clueless being at the top of the list, but he definitely ain't no yes man. John Paxson likes yes men, John Paxson does not like Vinny Del Negro. If he was a yes man, especially a good one, Pax wouldn't have laid hands on that man lol.Comment

The yes man rep came from when he was in LA, right?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Damn, I was only joking yesterday about how D-Wade is going to leave Miami and join the Cavs but the rumor mills are starting to afloat.
And I'm probably reading into this a little too much but the brief conversation that LeBron & D-Wade somewhat bring these rumors to fruition.

You can sort of hear LeBron mentioning how "they'll reunite again and do bigger and better things".
It's also ironic in the sense that these two always seem to negotiate very similar contract lengths.
And in the unlikely event this becomes reality, I hate to admit it, but I will probably convert over as a "casual" Cleveland fan
I mean, D-Wade (my favorite of all time), LeBron and Kyrie- that's 3 of my top 5 favorite guys in the league, with the others being Curry and Wall.
Nonetheless, Miami will still be my team #1
And I still think what we have, plus the addition of McRoberts and some other key signings can still make us Eastern Conference contenders. The only real (and big) concerns are injuries.Last edited by vtcha; 05-30-2015, 12:36 AM.Comment

Cleveland has zero need for Wade.. That's just wasting their money.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Why would Wade leave all that money on the table to go to Cleveland, where he'd get paid in peanuts?
Nah, it doesn't make any sense at all. If it happens, then it'd be pretty awesome, but it's not in the tea leaves, meethinks.Too Old To Game Club

That'd be such a punk *** move if he did.
He should want to BEAT the Cavs.
That would be worse than Bron bolting to Miami.Comment

Sounds exactly like me this time last year when I kept saying Bron wasn't leaving Miami.
And as we've learned very much over the last few years, loyalty only goes as far as the # of zeroes on the paycheck.
That being said, I agree with you.Last edited by ProfessaPackMan; 05-30-2015, 05:25 PM.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Wade doesn't have a reason to leave. He's already a 3 time champion and can get more from Miami than anyone else.
On the other side Cleveland has no need for another SG. There is always the chance that LeBron just really wants him there, but I don't even picture him wanting them to spend that type of money on something they don't need.

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
No it wouldn't. Wade is at the point of his career where this kind of thing is understandable kind of. This wouldn't be a good look in the sense, how do you leave Miami cause you were trying to get more money only to take less money somewhere else. But as mentioned already, he ain't going nowhere. This is like Kobe "leaving" the Lakers before Pau magically turned up there.

I don't think so. The situations are totally different.
LeBron was entering the prime of his career and had to decide if he wanted to go or spend his best years in Cleveland.
He spent, what?, 8 years or something trying to win in Cleveland. And up to that point, the best players the management could pair alongside of him in that time were Mo Williams and geezer Shaq.
Their best coach? Mike Brown.
One finals appearance in his time there.
Wade on the other hand has had pretty much the best management in the NBA. . They brought in Shaq. They brought in Bosh, LeBron and Ray Allen.
They have put together another talented team now. Dragic, Wade, Deng, Bosh, and Whiteside is pretty damn good. They just fell to the injury bug.
They still have Spolestra who has shown he can coach and make the adjustments needed to win it all. Twice. They have been to the finals 4 of the last 5 years.
Wades situation is WAY better than LeBrons ever was in Cleveland. If Wade stays healthy, they could compete for the top spot easily. And thats on him. He cant be like, "Well I probably wont be healthy. So I need to go somewhere that they can win when I miss a lot of time."
Not only that, but Bron left and became the man in Miami. It was still his team. Wade would leave knowing damn well he's straight riding supermans cape. He'd basically be saying "I cant beat him. I'm not even going to try."
Which is why I would see it as such a punk *** move.Comment
