If DAJ signs with the Clippers, then man... Some of the conspiracy theories that would arise out of that. Something like Doc Rivers told Jordan to tie down Dallas until all of the big men, including Chandler, are gone, then come back home.
For some reason I actually wouldn't doubt that.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

So what about the unrepairable CP3/DJ relationship.? Perfect example of opportunistic articles when teams/players part waysComment

Agreed 100%. I don't know much of why it is , but I think it's silly you're just able to discuss contracts and etc with free agents and have to wait until days later to actually sign the contract.
I believe once free agency opens up, they should be able to sign. This looks silly, but is very entertaining. I really believe DJ is going back to the Clippers though. Man, what a change of events.HATE LOSING MORE THAN I LOVE WINNING!

2015 Offseason Thread
I don't see what Doc is doing wrong here. He wants to keep his best Center with the knowledge that he's not going to get much better in his system than DJ, certainly not this summer. Let's just pretend there wasn't the almost sickening level of round the clock coverage of free agency and we didn't even know he'd made an agreement with the Mavs, nobody would really care if it ever came out.
Personally I think having CP3 and Blake is integral to DJ's play style. If he gets more touches and converts two or three more shots a game next season, becoming a 15-15 kind of player then he gets that All-Star selection I thought he deserved last season. I don't think he gets that with the Mavs, really.
That said his 3pt shooting in the AAC is absolutely lights out so maybe they were a good fit.Last edited by Paul21694; 07-08-2015, 01:36 PM.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I doubt Jordan would put the Clippers through this, having them all fly out to Houston, if he wasn't planning on signing with LA. He' probably going to have to find a new agent.
It looks like the Mavs are going to be tanking hard for that top 7 pick. I hope not though. Im not a fan of the tanking.Comment

Probably were click bait but im sure most of them were being held til after the actual signings, so we only saw that one story.

Each season, the NBA will have a moratorium period in which teams may hold negotiations but cannot sign contracts. It is during this time period that the NBA and NBPA conducts an audit that assists in the determination of the new Salary Cap figure for the following season which will be in effect on the date following the day the moratorium is lifted.
Limited exceptions to this rule apply to Rookie Scale contracts with first round draft picks, minimum contracts of one or two seasons (with draft picks and free agents) and Restricted Free Agents who may sign contracts. The moratorium period on free agent signings, etc., in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and (if the NBA exercises its option to extend the CBA) 2011, respectively, will be as follows:Comment

I mean....I guess this would explain why Doc didn't jump all over JaVale from jump street. Cuban better, if DJ stays with the Clips.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
C,mon man why would they do that to Dallas? Dallas and the Clippers have no history and DJ on the mavs dont make them the biggest threat in the west
Now.... the thing is, Cuban is going against someone who is richer than him and crazier than him... never thought I'd see thatComment
