Agreed with OJ. Bulls have a nice roster. Easily top 2 in East IMO. Don't know what it is about the NBA, but making moves is almost a must in this league to keep fans happy. Continuity still goes a long way though IMO especially when you already have the talent.

That said they probably could make some moves like moving Hinrich. They could probably dump him for a 2nd rounder or something. But you're really nitpicking with small moves like that. What's that going to net you? He's not even making 3 mil.

They looked far from ready for it all in the playoffs

If y'all feel like they're going to be in the finals with this team as is then OK

Yea the Bulls blowing it up would make no sense considering they probalby have the 2nd or 3rd best team in the east. They definitely have a chance to win the east next season if they can get lucky.

Far from ready isn't really accurate. Again, three idiot referees were the difference from being up 3-1 on the Cavs and tied 2-2.

Things to consider going into this year. Mirotic was a rookie last year and he played really well, if he continues to improve then that's a big gain. Snell's growth is very similar to Jimmy Butler's. Joakim and Derrick's health really is the biggest concern for them right now. I'd still like another wing or a better option at PG just in case, but giving the circumstances of the cap and their roster, it is what it is.

It's also still barely a week into FA so luckily ya'll still got plenty of team to address any team needs, but if health is really the only thing ya'll need to improve on(going by recent history, I'd say it is)then there isn't a move out there that'll address that particular need.

JJ Redick blasted the Clippers' offseason. Now THERE'S a guy I'd like to see on the Rap-

Aaaaaand the Spurs traded a second round pick for him.

Yeah, pretty much the story of this team's last few years. Not a whole lot you can do when 3 of your core 5 or 6 guys catch the injury bug after you lock them up to long term contracts.

Im sure the Bulls want to see which players play well under the new coach and scheme first before they start trading people.

If its true Noah's knee is bone on bone and with Rose's struggles, a healthy Bulls is kinda of a thing you can't even look forward to is it

Im not going to disagree with the refs but man they had too much of a hard time defending and scoring which is the worst i've seen them with Rose playing.

As far as who to get with that exception, I cant find a current list but there have been players who have been had for the exceptions the last couple of seasons.

A year later is my worry, all of these guys are a year older. If the plan is to stand pat minus Taj then cool, but Im not going to act like they just have to sit back and do nothing at all besides fire Thibbs and say they can't do anything more. That's not really true at all.

I was originally just asking why I haven't seen their names mentioned in any free agent signings because we all observed the above, and you know as well as I that this organizations management can get shady when they want to and possibly not do much else and seem content. I guess the word is they don't seem to be aggressively trying to pursue anyone at all.

The Bulls are such a weird case because you know if they could be healthy and play the D they played a couple years ago they'd be right there. Problem is counting on them being healthy is a bad investment. They need the depth at each position that allows them to do what Pop has done with the Spurs, and I'm not sure they have that. There is also a question as to if Hoiberg will be able to develop the bench players and manage minutes like Pop has as to preserve them long enough.

I don't want to keep sounding like I'm making excuses for the them because at the end of the day they didn't get it done when they should have. However in hindsight it's pretty clear that Joakim's injury played a big role in their defensive struggles and the apparent issues between Thibs and management seemed to take it's toll in the end as well. That game 6 was a complete embarrassment and there was more to that then just "not having enough."

As for what the Cavs are able to do with the cap compared to what the Bulls are doing right now and why they can't make any real moves. There are different circumstances to their situations. The Bulls still had a lot of big money guys locked into deals going into the offseason, that's guaranteed money that there weren't any cap tricks or holding off to sign people to get around. With LeBron opting out, Love opting out (plus having bird rights), JR opting out, already holding an option on Mos (plus his bird rights), bird rights on Shump, bird rights on TT, that's a lot of money off the books going into the free agency period that had them sitting with about 30 mil dollars in cap space to play around with and get creative with, not to mention that Haywood contract in their back pocket, plus they didn't draft anybody that they needed to sign this offseason. With the Bulls they were going into the offseason with 4.3 mil dollars in cap space that was immediately gobbled up once you took care of Jimmy. There was really wiggle room to pull in all these extra guys like what Cleveland is doing.

But anyway yeah a year later is when they can do a lot more. Who cares if they're a year older. Jimmy Butler is 25, Niko is 24, Snell is 23, even Derrick is still just 26 it's not like Father Time is standing at these dude's door with his knockout gloves on in a year lol.

Im not sure you answered my original question which is what i was getting at before all of the other stuff came in. Its all about either standing pat or at least trying to do something.

I think its clear they're fine with standing pat. Maybe next year....

                                Low profile news but ...

Dorrell Wright announced on radio that he would welcome the idea of returning to Miami.

Please make this happen Riley! We could definitely use another shooter, seeing as though he don't really have a strong one in particular, plus he'd be a bonus locker room addition seeing how he is good friends with D-Wade.
