Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Another 3m deal? Good pickup for raptors at that price! Biyombo/scola,their C/PF backups who'll play 15-20 mins each, for just 6m combined! And scola is basically healthy all season long.
Guess this means patterson is the starting pf? And johnson/carroll can focus just on sf.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
It's funny, whenever I was watching Ray McCallum play last year I couldn't help but think he'd an awesome backup for the Spurs. I always felt like he'd be a really good backup but Sac clearly wasn't the right place for him (or anyone else really.) Spurs got a huge steal here imo.
On the other end, yet another dumb deal for Sacramento.

Ramona Shelburne ✔@ramonashelburne
Clipper player who spoke to DJ, but was not at the mtg, said DJ felt his agent had pushed him to Dallas and he changed his mind over wknd
Truth or lie, it doesnt matter now
Might be true because Fegan wasn't present during the signing, some other agent was.
Maybe thats why Lillard said this

Moratorium thoughts

If @deandrejordan6 reneges on deal promising with no obligation to sign with @dallasmavs, he's done nothing wrong. It's called a moratorium!Stu Jackson @StuJackson32 2h2 hours ago

Change to the moratorium system is imminent 8-9 days is too long and process could move back. Diff in BRI is minimal

Heard idea about players signing a letter of intent w/teams. Issue is players could be signing for amounts that exceed YTD cap# = #chaosComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Interesting read from NBA.com
DeAndre wasn't the only high profile player to go against his word.
Boozer jilts Cavaliers, signs with Utah
Brand spurns Clippers for Sixers
Turkoglu -- and wife -- pick Toronto over Portland
You can blame social media for blowing this thing out of control.
Personally, it sucks for Mavs fans but then I put myself in DJ's shoes and view it as 2 job offers 1) stay with current employer and accept a pay-rise or 2) change employers, take a slightly less pay rise and relocate cities. I guess in the end he chose what he felt was most comfortable.Comment

Definitely the craziest FA move I've seen since the Hedo and Brand signings. This was next level though with the emoji's and social media presence. The photoshops were what made this epic.Comment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
I don't really have much of an issue with DJ changing his mind, but I've got a big issue with him not even having the balls to tell the Mavericks what's up.
He should've done it in person, or at the very least over the phone, but to not even talk to them since Tuesday after agreeing to sign with them? That's straight up bitchmade.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
DeAndre Jordan now expected to sign 5-year max deal with Clippers worth $110 million. (via @ESPNSteinLine) http://t.co/NLLhHpg5E9
Per ProBasketballTalk...
This is a four-year max deal for $87.7 million with an opt-out after three years, something first reported by Sam Amick of the USA Today. So, the argument this was about the money or security goes out the window, Jordan took the same deal Dallas was offering, mainly (but with slightly larger raises but more taxes).#RespectTheCultureComment
