    I believe him surprisingly. With studying sports management in college, I have heard some things I didn't believe. Like that about 15 D1 athletic departments turn a profit.

      Meh that's not really what I was saying. I said if Jones was good enough he would have played. He wasn't good enough at anything to make OKC a better product with him on floor than on the bench. Which I elaborated on in my other posts.

      I wasn't referring to any other players or any other teams.

          @sam_amick
          In memo, interim director Ron Klempner points out how owners made "provisions" w/ TV networks in last lockout to keep getting rights fees

          @sam_amick
          Klempner: "No reason the players should not make every effort to take the same precaution."Players & owners can opt out after 2016-17 season

          @sam_amick
          This advice is being shared w/ free agents who would have to include provision in their new deals. Provision added in last negotiations.

          @kevinmdraper
          This is a statement from the NBPA. Pay particularly close attention to the third paragraph.

            That's okay, there are many tech and hedge fund billionaires ready to throw hundreds of millions to buy teams.

            And pay tens of millions in luxury taxes.

            Also helps NBA teams get public money to finance new arenas.

I simply pointed out two situations where that wasn't the case and you're in here trying to act like I'm the one making the blanket statement? You don't have to tell me it works both ways, I know that, I never said anything to the contrary of that.
              We all were talking about Jones though. We weren't talking about anyone else throughout this.

                The reason alot of guys are taking 2 year deals is not for the tv contract but because the NBAPA told them to take 18 month contracts because of the possibility of a lockout

                    People claiming this will be remembered as a "DeAndre Jordan summer" .. totally disagree. Forget about it. Good player verbaled somewhere and re-negged on his decision. If he would have spoken to DAL ownership everyone would have forgotten by now.

                    Media so damn sensitive nowadays and everyone has to be perfect

                        The decision (or indecision) really wasn't that big of a deal, I think it's more-so the ridiculousness of that night.

                        Hostage situation, Blake trolling with Instagrams in front of the door, talk of Cuban driving around hopelessly in Houston, that was one of the most insanely ridiculous nights in NBA Free Agency History.

                          So apparently Portland sent their 2020 second-round pick, which is protected from picks 31-55, in exchange for Moe Harkless.

                          Was it really necessary for that pick to be protected? lol

                            Well they pretty much guaranteed it won't be conveyed because I highly doubt Portland is gonna be one of the top 5 teams record wise by 2020.

                              Yup. I can't link tweets on tapa but Haralabob tweeted

                              "That's like investing in a fund that's returning 30% a year and claiming you're "losing money" because you haven't cashed it out yet."

                              The Hawks sold for 850 million dollars in April. The Hawks.

                                That's exactly what Zach Lowe wrote about.

                                It was a hilarious night. We were all following it and will remember it for that.
