Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Meh that's not really what I was saying. I said if Jones was good enough he would have played. He wasn't good enough at anything to make OKC a better product with him on floor than on the bench. Which I elaborated on in my other posts.
I wasn't referring to any other players or any other teams.

@sam_amick
In memo, interim director Ron Klempner points out how owners made "provisions" w/ TV networks in last lockout to keep getting rights fees
@sam_amick
Klempner: "No reason the players should not make every effort to take the same precaution."Players & owners can opt out after 2016-17 season
@sam_amick
This advice is being shared w/ free agents who would have to include provision in their new deals. Provision added in last negotiations.
@kevinmdraper
This is a statement from the NBPA. Pay particularly close attention to the third paragraph.
@kevinmdraper
Well this is new.Comment

Yes, I was talking about this specific situation with Perry Jones. Where was I saying every time someone is buried on the bench it's a matter of the coach not liking said player? OJ was in here talking about if you're stuck on the bench it means you're there based solely on you and not playing good enough, which is a blanket statement on everybody in that situation. I simply pointed out two situations where that wasn't the case and you're in here trying to act like I'm the one making the blanket statement? You don't have to tell me it works both ways, I know that, I never said anything to the contrary of that.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Forgot to mention in the NBATV press conference Silver held today
@SpearsNBAYahoo
Adam Silver says a "significant amount of teams" are still losing money in the NBA because their expenses exceed revenue.
The reason alot of guys are taking 2 year deals is not for the tv contract but because the NBAPA told them to take 18 month contracts because of the possibility of a lockout#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
People claiming this will be remembered as a "DeAndre Jordan summer" .. totally disagree. Forget about it. Good player verbaled somewhere and re-negged on his decision. If he would have spoken to DAL ownership everyone would have forgotten by now.

They arent sensitive they just love stirring the pot for viewsComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
The decision (or indecision) really wasn't that big of a deal, I think it's more-so the ridiculousness of that night.
Hostage situation, Blake trolling with Instagrams in front of the door, talk of Cuban driving around hopelessly in Houston, that was one of the most insanely ridiculous nights in NBA Free Agency History.Ohio State Buckeyes | Carolina Panthers | Charlotte Hornets | Cincinnati RedsComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
So apparently Portland sent their 2020 second-round pick, which is protected from picks 31-55, in exchange for Moe Harkless.
Was it really necessary for that pick to be protected? lolComment

Re: 2015 Offseason Thread
Well they pretty much guaranteed it won't be conveyed because I highly doubt Portland is gonna be one of the top 5 teams record wise by 2020.Comment

"That's like investing in a fund that's returning 30% a year and claiming you're "losing money" because you haven't cashed it out yet."
The Hawks sold for 850 million dollars in April. The Hawks.

It was a hilarious night. We were all following it and will remember it for that.
